What made you become friend with him? Because he was straight?

Think again.

i maybe said the wrong thing. you're right i would remain friend with him probably.

but i would never bond to a male person who i know is a gay before we became friends. i know that's discrimination but i cannot go against myself.

as much as we're defined by our genotype you must know that in certain traits like behavior phenotype plays decisive role - one's surroundings, thoughts, beliefs and choices.

Chilhood and such will only affect how OK you think it is.

Ah, but how do we know it's the genetics that cause the feelings and not the other way around? The mind and our emotions can affect our body physically.

And how do genetics take into effect the fact some people who are straight, but then they meet one person of the same sex who they like a lot? They're not necessarily attracted to the opposite sex, just to that person, who happens to be the same sex.

Also, I'm under the impression that if I had the desire to change my sexual preference, I could. Same way I could change my taste in music or my opinion of something. That may be saying something about the kind of guy I am, but I figure that I'm can't be the only person like this.

of course it's ok. ;)

I don't mind them, I'm not friends with any, but that wouldn't stop me from being friends with them. ;)

im friends with some guys that are gay, and im friends with some girls that are gay. im a christian and the 'stereotypical' christian view is that gays are bad. but although i think that wat they do is not how life was intended it doesnt bother me. its there lifestyle choice, who am i to judge them!!

I said the wrong thing, it's not genetic, but it's certainly not an influence or choice.

Homsexuals have the hormones girls have. Lesbien, other way around.

At least, that's what I heard. But it's totally logical, by simonov's point at least.

Effiminated? It's actually true. A problem? Still not.

Ehhh, I say I like gays just fine (there are plenty at my liberal arts private highschool)

but this is an interesting and yet solid line that I somehow always feel:
I am more uncomfortable seeing 2 gay guys making out in front of me than I am a heterosexual couple making out in front of me.
Why? I don't know, but i do. Its not like i love the heteros to make out in front of me but i scream when the gays do, I Dont like people making out in front of me, period. But if I had to chose, i would choose the staright couple making out over the gay couple making out.

Oh, and tidibit:
Sigmund Freud doesn't believe that homosexuality is a born trait:
Sigmund: "The Id is the inante traits a person has when they are born, Basically: to get all things needed for survival(food, water, shelter, etc etc), and to reproduce"

Now, last time i checked, you cannot reproduce if you semen into another males anal cavity. Therefore, it is against your Id, which only cares about survival and reproduction, to have sex with another male.

Sigmund is not a scientific...

The fact gays can and act like women sometimes, is they accidently got some of their hormones.

Born trait, born with those..

is it ok to be gay?

You pretended to be a guy to get other chicks to sleep with you? Didn't they get kind of upset when you disrobed?

Yes, I could. That's because for me, there's no right or wrong answer, so there's no particular reason to prefer one way or the other except the current social stigma. But why is it silly?

I don't "feel" any way around gay people. Just as I don't feel any way around prostitutes, liars, thieves and what not.

not if she has taken enough steroids.

jay I wonder why you shoehorned 'prostitutes, liars and thieves' into your post and not, say, 'taxi drivers, fidgeters and farmers'.
Freudian slip?

I was demonstrating the absurdity of the poll. Can you tell a taxi driver when you see one? Usually they are driving a taxi. Can you tell a gay person when you see them. No. If I was talking with a guy and all of the sudden, he states, "By the way, I'm gay". There would be no "feeling" that would overtake me. Not the desire to run away, not the desire to punch him in the face....not even to take a step back. Its absurd! The poll is trying to make it seem like those apposed to the gay lifestyle are mean, nasty and intolerant. It's simply inaccurate.
