I did include it for all maps played yes, what i am asking is, since it was on for on brief time and you cant play it anymore, should it count for ALL map wins, i dont think it should cause does not give players chance to play it again, agreed?

I think that the list should include people who have won ALL maps. If someone is missing Midkemia - they can be included but deserve an asterisk as they were afraid to try a new map or were just darn unlucky.

I don't know how often you should update the list. BUT, the list should always include ALL maps [give a grace period of 10-30? days] whenever a map is released. Someone who hasn't won on a map within 10-30 days after it's release for play, doesn't really want to be on the list of having conquered all the maps (or may have left the site ...). I think in much the way you had the first to reach 2000, 2500, and 3000. You should have the first to win 65, 75, 90, 100, 120, etc. maps. Heck, you can even start out people who have at least 50 maps won (3+ player singles) or 50 maps won (teams) or 50 maps won (1 v 1). Not combined - but each. I have 53 three + player singles and 44 heads up (only 16 teams *sigh*).

My vote is for a grace period of 30 days (mainly so that non-prems have a chance to play each map a few times, rather than rely on winning their first or second attempt). I originally liked 10 days because you can knock it out with 4 or 5 speed game attempts.

I have rethought my position on Midkemia.

I think that if you have won ALL the maps other than Midkemia you deserve to be on the list. If you have played Midkemia - you deserve and asterisk or some other connotation. If you have WON Midkemia then you deserve a second asterisk or connotation.

I figure there will be fewer people with 2 asterisks than there will be those who don't have them. My reasoning is that if a new player were to join today, play all 64 maps and eventually win once on each. They would have a claim to all maps - but could never [well highly unlikely] get to even play (much less win) Midkemia. I am assuming that as time goes by - there will be more people in this boat than there will be who have won Midkemia.

There was a phase when I had played every map, but haven't bothered with lots of the new ones.

sooooo, let me see if i got this right...

The new map will be called Midkemdil, and anybody will be able to play it... but the prior, and very rare map, called Midkemia... exists no more... except for those who already played it...

So this makes it like a real collectible...
like the inverted Jenny postage stamp of 1918
or a 1951 Mickey Mantle rookie card
or a 1962 Ferrari 250 GTO

Too bad those who have played this game can't put it on ebay...

I think the asterisk for any who played this rare game is appropriate...
And the new version should be included as well, but without the asterisk

ive played all maps, including the oldskool midkemia. im not on the list still?

I've played all the maps so far.

In response to Robinette, nope...it's all the same, except for original names. They're equal.
