Round 1
    All 32 players have been randomly paired up and drawn into 4 groups.
    There will be 6 games in each group (8-player x2, 6-player x4), with each team playing 5 games (8-player x2, 6-player x3).

    Each player scores points according to their team progress:
      1st Place = 3pts (4pts if both teammates are still alive)
      2nd place = 2pts
      3rd place = 1pt
    The highest two finishers from each group will progress to the next round.
    In the event of a tie, then a play-off game will take place between the teams tied on points.

    The top 2 teams from each group will progress to the next round
Group 1

    Team C: SWeko & ctgottapee
    Team D: yeti_c & blindmatt
Group 2
    Team E: Evil Semp & danodukebb

Let the games begin!

The pairs and groups for the first round of the Mixed-Up Doubles tournament have been randomly drawn, and the initial games have been created.

Invitations have been sent to the first team in each group via PM; once a team has joined the next team will be invited. Please try and join quickly to avoid your competitors having a lengthy wait ;-)

I will try and post regular updates here...

All that remains is for me to wish you all Happy Fighting!

Points are awarded as follows:
    4pts = 1st place (both partners alive)
    3pts = 1st place
    2pts = 2nd place
    1pt = 3rd place

The fun and excitement of Round 1 is very nearly over...

Group 3 games have now finished, and the following two teams will progress to the next round
Team J: Katya & MrBenn
Team K: millondollarman & scottie

Group 2 games have also finished, and the group winner is:
Team E: Evil Semp & danodukebb
The three other teams are tied for points, so a playoff match will now take place.

Group 1 is in the final stages of its last game, and while Team A is unable to progress, any two of the others could make it to the next round...
