what if they don't speak english? please explain to me how it is poor attitude if someone from thailand or spain or germany doesn't respond to your english typing? do you ever go to the other language forums and attempt to post in threads that you don't understand the language? do it sometime, it is a real blast!-0
p.s.-what if lack went the way a lot of his countrymen felt, and made this site a "french only" speaking site... would you be able to respond to our canadian brothers that only spoke french in game chat? i doubt it.
"Hi" is internationally understood. If you can't say hi you have a bad attitude. I am a prime example of this. Sometime I join a game and say nothing. Most enjoy this and see it as a result, because once I start waffling. I never shut up.
I think people that do not say hello should get stars taken away. Ignorant gits lol

The rating system blows, people are vindictive about it and use the ratings to take out their frustrations. I've stopped leaving ratings altogether.
I just played a guy and beat him. I didn't say a word in the chat window and took all my turns within seconds of him completing his. The game took about 10 minutes. The result? 2 star ratings in every category for me
Also, why is there a "fair play" category? How is to possible to cheat?

Fair play comes into play when say for example two high ranks agree to decimate the lower ranked guy before battling it out so that they need not worry of losing more points to the low ranked player. Such actions would be likely to receive poor fair play rankings.
I generally give out solid 5 stars unless someone has given me less than 5 stars previously, or very rare cases when a player does something truly objectionable. The objectionable get 1 stars across the board regardless and those who gave me less than 5's get exactly what I was given. Other than that everyone else I rank and rank 5 stars across.
The fact that I rank this ways displays inherent flaws in the ranking system. Can't fight the system, but it's essentially meaningless.

this sounds like a very rational and well-thought out policy
