The Blue Hens fall victim to George Mason's impenetrable home court. The winning streak has gone to...jesus, I've forgotten. Nine? Ten? Eleven? Either way, the Patriots are still undefeated in CAA play.

The answer is eleven. Mason has won eleven in a row.

[Game]6444385 [/Game]

A thrilling rivalry game against James Madison finds the Patriots on the winning end, as coach Aesop Jones holds a joint halftime locker room speech to teach the various nuances of his home court. "The Patriot Center's a fun place to play," Jones remarked in his post-game press conference. "It's the basketball equivalent of a sloped pitch in soccer."

Well, sorry for the delay I know I've been posting on Friday the updated standings. But, I was a little overloaded yesterday. The standings are up. I should also be posting the new rankings soon. By the way if your record has changed decently in the standings it may be that I caught a mistake from the previous standings and corrected. Either way I will do a throrough check through them before the conference tournaments go into effect. So that every has there records perfectly recorded.

The Ohio St. makes up for it's early season lose to MN by dominating them at home. This breaks a 4 game skid and move them to 6-1 in the conference.

Northwestern defeats Michigan State.

It's been an odd season for this matchup, as both teams won decisively in their opponent's gym.

Marquette putting the finishing touches on DePaul...unbeaten since I locked myself in a room for some extra motivation. The Golden Eagles are flying back into the Big East race (man, do I hate those cheesy mascot puns).

is here more important for standings overall score or league score? I see that standings in each division are made according to league record.

League games are more important because they determine your seed in the conference tourneys and also show that you placed well during the regular season, although overall record is also an indicator I'm sure when it comes time for the at-large bids.

Overall record has a lot to do with at-large bids and the seeding in the actual NCAA Tournament. The League standings determine the conference tournament seeding which is important. That's pretty much the way the two different scores count for.

Well, it took until exactly midnight in my time zone, but all games for February 6 to February 9 are out, and reminder PMs were sent to everyone who hadn't joined a game.

Only a month left in the regular season! Time to make that late-season push for a better seed in your conference tourneys*!

*unless you play in the Ivy League.

Yep, basically. As emerick said, the conference record determines your seeding in the conference tournaments, which essentially chooses the home floor for each game. If you win your conference tournament, you get an automatic entry into the NCAA tournament (unless you're in the Ivy League, which doesn't have a conference tournament - they rely on the regular season record to crown a champion). After those 17 slots are awarded, the remaining 47 slots will be filled by at-large teams, which will largely be comprised of the teams with the best overall record who didn't already qualify.
