It matters, because you can get caught in a counterclaim with it. Ofcourse he won't fake claim Finn, that role is 99% in this game and would out him as a liar. You can't just make up a name, if it's a well known character it's probably already in the game and if it's a minor character it's likely a fake claim.

but streaker, he would only have to claim the role he was given, had dakky claimed ice king, would not have given us any more information than we already had. we could all claim our name, would not mean anything.

Flavour often have logic behind their associated powers. This is not always the case and should not be relyed upon.

If tim claims a character of somone else in the game, he will be counterclaimed and thus we can narrow mafia down to two people giving higher confidence in the lynch.

Alrighty, first of all @tim just a piece of advice, never ever delete your role PM until after you are dead. Even if it seems worthless, you never know when it could come in handy. Especially in a flavor game like this one. Make sure you beg endgame to send it again.
When you say blue something or green something, are you referring to the name of your character?

That was me, and the game you are referring to was a choose your power game. In those games (as well as multiple anti-town faction games) roles are not alignment indicative at all. In this game, which I am assuming is a single scum group, if there is an alignment cop, I would bet a ton that they are town, as scum would have no need. The only way there would be a scum cop in a game like this is if there were also a town role-cop. But the details of this argument really don't matter unless there is a role cop. The point I was trying to make was that just because mitch claimed cop doesn't mean he is town, since scum would know who is and isn't town anyway and could easily act like a cop if they knew there wasn't a cop in game. I made a mistake in pointing out that in that scenario mitch would not be a cop, because that wouldn't really change anything and has just become a small distraction.

I think at this point that kratos and cyan should be replaced. Kratos promised a post and we have yet to receive an update, and cyan has yet to post about the game. I am tired of waiting for them.

@twr, at this point it appears you are just going against whatever streaker says (i.e. the importance of a name claim). It isn't a good look.

@Pixar, what are your thoughts on pt now that he has returned to the game?

Do you really think it is a good ideal to replace them? Fri. is the deadline, a new person would have to wade through the bullshit and I am tired of hearing the same old stories. Maybe a new set eyes might find something different but highly unlikely, I say pick one of the loafers and hang them ,lets get to a new day with new possibilities

I think replacing them is better because at the very least a replacement would be able to contribute tomorrow. It is basically that, waste our lynches on blind shots, or lose two (alignmentwise) random people to modkills. Of those I choose replacement. I didn't expect them to be able to come in today and do anything, and endgame says they won't be here until D3 anyway. Thank you endgame.

well in that case the person you asked me about has done the same thing as me, one liners, he thinks I'm a bandwagoner which in that case is not true, ptlowe wants streaker dead and I thought so too at the beginning of the day but I don't want him today, we need to focus on the inactives first and Tim not giving his name claiming "he deleted the pm" is such bullshit, he's just stretching out the day.

We are all friends here streaker. Or id like to say so. Agreed TWR went a little far but maybe its due to the passion for the game. I agree we shouldnt call names and I think most everything is in good fun.
