ADDRESS TO WWIIOMAHABEACH FORUM MEMBERS
Foundry Workshop - Undisclosed Location (Somewhere out in the Pacific)
12:06 - Thursday - 13/09/07
So foundrymen - so long as you're all in aggreement, lets keep these wheels turning then 'ey
... no time to dilly dally.
Seems someone was kind enough to repost the relevant files - saves us all a good deal of scrounging round i'd say - now, looks like its time for some final forgining ...
... better get started soon or, as they say round 'ere, we'll be here to the cows come home.
Anyhow, i best be off and hope i need not return, unless you lot pipe back up with your quibbling; crazy as a gaggle of geese in springtime they been saying down the road - but don't worry, i told 'em you'd have it sorted out real soon no problem.
And what've yas done, you've all come to the no hassels aggreement of moving on with the show just the way things are, yo'all reaslised ther's nothing to fret over in the firstplace, that it was no use going round stepping on eachother's toes, and that, all been well, it was time to get the heads back down to work. You figured, wisely i might add, that if there was anything serious to worry about you could trouble yourselves with all that sometime down the track - no use getting ya knickers in a knot over something so small you thought.
Well, before i go, i'll just offer a word of congratulations to you all here, done a good job in keeping your heads clear and eyes on the task at hand - I sincerely look forward to seeing this move on to the next stage.
Good Luck.

Should the German areas have bonuses?
No. It would upset the delicate bonus balance. 40% [ 12 ]
No. The germans were not heavily fortified in the flat lands. 16% [ 5 ]
No. A small bonus for a 10 territory continent is absurd. 13% [ 4 ]

Defending map and not being a CA mode
I don't find it hard to read. Are you finding it hard to read? Am I the only one that doesn't feel this should have to change?
I would hate to change the graphics for just one person if everyone else thinks they look good as they are.

I can't read it without my glasses, please fix it.

Come on coleman...With your new job comes new responsibilites and a unbiased approach to the map foundry. Are you honestly telling me only one person has complained about this? Do you really want me to waste my time going back and pulling the names out who have mentioned the matter?

It appears we have a different opinion again. Nobody else has had to account for people with bad eye sight, why should this map? Because you think it should? I don't think it should, mibi doesn't think it should, asl80 doesn't think it should, DiM would probably kill us because he wants the opposite of what other people suggested so we are picking the medium. There are doctors to help with the bad eye sight problem, and I'm not a doctor.
If mibi wants to create a near sighted friendly version of the map I guess he could, but nobody should force him to, and then the far sighted people that can still read the current layout get screwed, and the people with normal eye sight would likely be annoyed.

I don't have a problem with it, so I don't really know what the problem is exactly, but why not just increase the size of the numbers on the large to be proportional to that of the small map?

I guess mibi could probably do that. That still doesn't solve the problem of hulmey not liking the colors we picked though.

hulmey, you've been an obstructionist on this map since I first stole the idea from you. If it's not some poor near sighted/colorblindness/whatever, it will be something else.
The red numbers are incredibly legible, end of story.

WEll Coleman its more than bad eyesight....A number of players have complained about themselves being colourblind and the colour Redon the dark green clashing badly for them.
I have seen a number of people complain about colours in other map threads and the map maker has taken it on board and fixed the problem. But again your full shit blah blah blah....
Mibi im glad you stole my idea lol becuase you have done a better job than i could ever have dreamed of doing. But then again disagree with you and you throw a tantrum!!

just went back 10 pages and more than 4 people are complaining about the colour's clashing LOL. Ignoring the problem will not make it go away!!

Changes: Bigger red numbers on the large map. Cleaned a couple red numbers on the small map.
I'd link coordinate images but the tool that does that doesn't seem to be working.
What Color Blind People Probably See

This is protran (red green colorblindness)
I cleaned up the 6 in 21st because of this, it won't look like that anymore.

I don't get what the hell Humley is complaining about. You can see the numbers just fine.
Even if you were colour blind, there is a settings that can help you with that, if you didn't know.
I don't know what being colour-blind would stop you playing this map from the numbers anyway. All you need to know is what territory it is, and you can see that from the numbers and map.
Seriously, Humley, it's great the way it is. Don't get so pissy because Mibi took your idea from you. It's great this way.

it aint just me shittles!!! Look back and a number of peopl have complained...They cant see the numbers in the green terrioty becuase the green and red clash!!! Thus amking them unreadable LOL

It's hard to say exactly what they see. But it is obvious that the green and red look identical in that picture, but the black glow mibi added should help with that problem. I'm not sure what else I can do to appease you.

I don't see how they actually clash. They're actually quite readable to me, even without my glasses on..
One thing though.. The flags in the background, it's not the worst thing, but you've only got two up there. Nazi Germany and USA flag. It's not the most controversial thing, but I think some history freaks may want to be controversial and state there was more than the US against Nazism on D-Day.
