Question of the week!
A man who lives on the tenth floor takes the elevator down to the first floor every morning and goes to work. In the evening, when he comes back; on a rainy day, or if there are other people in the elevator, he goes to his floor directly. Otherwise, he goes to the seventh floor and walks up three flights of stairs to his apartment.

He likes to take the elevator up the first 7 floors because the stairs up to that point have rusted out and fall straight to ground 0 and he takes the elevator all the way up on rainy days because there's no walls on the stairs and he gets constantly rained on when he takes them. He also likes to chit-chat so when there are other people in the elevator he rides it all the way to the top.
