updated standings coming later tonight...new batch of matches has been sent. Only a handful left for each team and six playoff spots still available.

Also, all games vs. Toronto are forfeits from here out...and sensfan is banned from future flex tourneys (2nd time he's done this).

standings are updated and the Oct. 10 games have been sent...only 2 or 3 regular-season games left for most teams. Still five playoff spots are open. Columbus is one point from clinching the East's No. 1 seed, while San Jose and Seattle remain in a tight race for the top spot in the West.

After that only three points separate No. 4 FC Dallas from ..the No. 8 Kansas City heading down the stretch, and several teams lower on the list could still make a move with a late winning streak.

Chicago is the latest team to clinch a playoff spot, getting in with a win over East No. 1 Columbus.

The new standings are up and the games you see on the schedule are all that are left in the regular season...I'll be sending out the Oct. 16 set sometime today, then the last set early next week, then it's onto the playoffs :)

Well the 8 playoff spots have been clinched...all that is left is to see how the seedings shake out...I'll post a playoff bracket when those have been decided and we'll get started with the post-season matchups.

Congrats to those who made the playoffs and to those who didn't (myself included), thanks for playing and sticking out the entire regular season regardless of your playoff chances.

I'm counting on doing MLS again, so look for the 2011 season next spring. :)

five matches left in the regular season...we have our first playoff matchup...

#8 Kansas City vs. #1 San Jose

The bracket will be appearing shortly...these final games should wrap up soon, but still room to jostle around the seedings quite a bit. :)

Hold up. Kansas City lost their last game and I am about to win. We both would have 47 points. Does he win tie breakers over me?? We split our season series.

You are correct sportsgod...I will wait for your win to become official, and if in effect your end up tied Houston and Kansas City will meet in a one-game playoff (neutral site) on North America....flat, chained, foggy...winner will take the No. 8 seed.

This tiebreaker match will be played under the playoff scoring rules (see original rules post for scoring)...one map for each half...an additional map used for overtime if needed.

First round series are all underway or complete...final regular season standings are also up if you want to check out where you finished there. Highlander held on for a tie against sportsgod and his Houston squad, knocking the Dynamo out of the playoff picture in the final match of the season. Good season all, and good luck to those who qualified for the playoffs.

I don't have a chance, you out to see the dice this guy gets!!!! He attacked the both planes to start all 4 games on my WWII Poland map. Each plane is 2 men. So 2 men times 2 planes times 4 games equals 16 men total. Through four games, he's lost a total of 2. How do you fight that?!! Where did he get is men from, I think I have the wrong farm system!

Congratulations to overlander who has led the Vancouver Whitecaps to the inaugural Conquer Club MLS Cup championship with a 3-0 sweep over the Seattle Sounders in the title series. Overlander finished the season with a 25-14-3 record after going an impressive 8-2 in the playoffs.

thanks to all who played...I will be doing the MLS season again when the season starts next spring...if you made the playoffs this year you'll get a preliminary pm allowing you to reserve a team ahead of time...otherwise keep a close watch on sign-ups to get a spot.
