Well, I think what he was saying is that day one usually is long and uneventful. Which is usually the case. Day one is a time for tedious searching for the slightest of scum-slips that might help later on in the game. All but the most veteran of mafia players find day one to be very boring because of the lack of information to discuss. Mostly day one is just throwing around joke-votes until someone gives a noticeable tell to their role.

I disagree. Why should we give leeway to certain players? Should we question poor judgment any less simply because it is coming from a less experienced player? If someone gives a strong scumtell, will we let them get away with it just because they are new or maybe just a bad player?

I know this isn't a solid scumtell, but I find your post just now very revealing. To me it seems like you are buddying and refusing to contribute by not pressing for info. vote safariguy

In one of my first games on this site, I played a scum role and I was able to use my 'newbie' status to get out of a few accusations. Knowing this, I would rather not take the chance and let them off easy.

In looking @ what Squirrel posted above me, I tend to agree with his accusation of buddying and how just cause noobs are noobs they sure as hell could have a mafia role. Now that doesn't nescessarily mean we have to go all out on noobs, but not lay off on them too much either. I don't want to start a safari bandwagon by placing a 3rd or 4th vote at the time, cause I don't a sudden lynch (although it probably won't happen, but better safe than sorry) because of a possible tell so FoS safari

Thats what I meant, long and boring. But I am not a new player.. I've been playing mafia on this site for around two years.

Mr. Squirrel didn't take up an attitude toward safari. He merely stated that we should treat all players as equals when examining for scuminess. It doesn't matter how a player acts because he/she could use their past to excuse there actions now if we allow any leeway whatsoever.

Ok seriously, voting without any explanation sensfan? That's pretty scummy of you. Definitely the most promising lead we have so far. It's not like the beginning when we're just joking around, it's serious by now.

You made an observation, followed up by an accusation, and a vote. (Which was close to turning into a bandwagon.) Would you call that nothing more?

Now as for the observation itself... What you're saying is that the new guys should be able to play the game at the same level as the veterans. Quoting: "Should we question poor judgment any less simply because it is coming from a less experienced player?" Yes, we should. I for one haven't finished a single day on this forum, let alone a game. I have no idea how you guys play this game, and I have no idea how I should judge your playing style because I have never seen your style before. Then is my inexperience proof for me to be scum? Of course not, you guys only might figure out sooner than usual because you will recognise my mistakes sooner than you would had I played, say, 10 games.

If I interpreted correctly what Safari stated in his post, he's just saying that because of the above mentioned, you might not wanna kill off the new guys too frantically. Next, you're telling him to be buddying and not sharing information, followed up by a plain accusation? I realy don't get your way of thinking there. That's just what I'm trying to say.
