I missed this the first time I read it.
By "crazy pace", I meant the no-huddle/hurry-up offense that they play the entire game. It wears defenses down

It's supposed to, but Washington wasn't looking worn down at the end of that first half. And yes I know about the spread no huddle, as Wyoming, Toledo, and Texas all run it.

#1 Oregon survived a road game at Cal when the Golden Bears' kicker
was penalized for motion to negate a 29 yard field goal that would
have given them the fourth quarter lead 15-13.
#2 Auburn looked confident while pulling out a 49-31 win over a much
improved Georgia team. Newton looks like the Heisman front runner as
the Tigers rushed for 315 yards and 5 touchdowns.
#3 TCU spotted San Diego State two touchdowns then answered with 34 points
before halftime and held on for a 40-35 win over the 7-2 Aztecs.
#5 LSU stepped on a cupcake 51-0
#6 Stanford struggled to get past Arizona State 17-13
#7 Wisconsin made Indiana look like a cupcake 83-20
#8 Nebraska dumps Kansas 20-3
#9 Ohio State puts up 35 unanswered points to cruise past Penn State 38-14
#10 Oklahoma State found little resistance in Austin... 33-16 over Texas
#12 Bama rolls over #19 Mississippi State 30-10
Northwestern upsets #13 Iowa 21-17
Notre Dame upsets # 14 Utah 28-3... is Utah overrated this year
or suffering a hangover from the TCU thumping last game?
#15 Arkansas rocks UTEP 58-21
#16 Oklahoma rocks Texas Tech 45-7
#17 Missouri outlasts #24 Kansas State 38-28
USC upsets #18 Arizona 24-21
#20 Virginia Tech beats UNC 26-10
#23 South Carolina earns their first trip to the SEC Championship game vs Auburn
by beating #22 Florida 36-14
Newest BCS Rankings:
1. Oregon 10-0
2. Auburn 11-0
3. TCU 11-0
4. Boise State 10-0
5. LSU 9-1
6. Stanford 9-1
7. Wisconsin 9-1
8. Ohio State 9-1
9. Nebraska 9-1
10. Oklahoma State 9-1

I watched the games among the Top 4 and it was clear to me that Oregon and Auburn are not better than BSU and TCU. I can respect whoever thinks that, but its obvious that their conference statuses are getting them the nods.

Actually it's the quality of the teams they've played that gives them the BCS Rankings edge.
Oregon (10-0) plays their 3rd ranked opponent in 2 weeks
Auburn (11-0) plays their 5th ranked opponent in 2 weeks
and the SEC Championship will be their 6th.
TCU (11-0) has played 2 ranked
* opponents
Boise State (10-0) plays their 3rd ranked
* opponent in 2 weeks
LSU (9-1) plays their 5th ranked opponent in 2 weeks
they lost is to BCS #2 Auburn by a TD*Oregon State is now 4-5 and unranked

1 thing to note, that for SDSU, up until their game with TCU, they probably should have been undefeated. But BYU officials "missed" a fumble (officials are suspended indeffinitly) that allowed BYU to score the winning TD, and in Mizzou's last play, there should have been a call in the back for an illegal block or holding (I forgeot which).
Utah is in full meltdown mode, as are my Cowboys.
And I think auburn will lose to Bama, and Oregon may not be able to get by Arizona's Defense. Just look at all the struggling Oregon had against Cal.

Is it bad that I don't want auburn in the NC? I know nothing has been proven ywt but its looking more and more likely that Cam Newton will be deemed ineligble.

That, and Auburn has no defense to speak of. I think Bama may beat them, then Newton gets suspended, and TCU goes to the NC.

Certainly Auburn and Oregon have had tougher schedules; but in theory they're still supposed to gauge who the better team really is in the polls. The computer system then throws in the merit for BCS rankings. But you don't see TCU or BSU above Oregon or Auburn? And to whoever, don't give me a million and one reasons why they're not ahead in the coach's poll or AP - It'd be like that every year. The truth is that the coaches/AP is biased and in addition to the AQ system they are more than willing to keep BSU/TCU in their place.

Fluke my ass. Prior to the game, Cal hadn't lost at home all season, and Oregon couldn't get anything going on offense.

Hehe. Don't remember if I said it here but I've said all season that Cal would be trouble(more so than USC). They usually are for Oregon.
No doubt Arizona is watching film of that one and will bring a stingy defense but in the end - Oregon 59, Arizona 7

Only way that happens is if they blow out the rest of the teams on their schedule. Even then, it looks iffy at best to me.

Hmmm. Lots of three-loss teams ahead of em though, which seems odd.

Loss to unranked Hawaii and scraping a win against unranked Fresno. Plus, they're non-BCS, which is why TCU and BSU can't quite get into the top 2 unless Auburn or Oregon get knocked off.
