Definitely, Smoltz and Hudson are pitching great.

How about that game-winner by AJ last night? It's good to see him coming out of this slump he's been in.

yeah, what a shot

If they have the name Braves they are one of my top 3 baseball teams.

We Red Sox fans know better than to say that stuff outloud. Look what you did. Haha

Yeah I guess 90 years (?) of bad luck taught you that.

Well, genius, you may be surprised to find out that Red Sox fans happen to be the most loyal fans in baseball. Yankees fans, too, are loyal as well.

Before you make such ridiculous statements, try supporting them with a fact or two. For instance, what constitutes the Game of Baseball, and how in the world do the yankees or the red sox spit on it?
And what team would better exemplify this so called 'game of Baseball' to you than any AL east team? why?

Idiot..

Ok you can go back to booing a-rod, or manny, b/c its happened before in their own home stadium, try knowing something before you talk dip shit.

We probably know more about baseball than you. Yankee fans are really the only fans that boo thier own players.

I wouldn't say that. I booed Fick when he had that blatant foul (for lack of a better word) in the playoffs. That was just as unsportsmanlike as it gets.

not an AL east fan, disagree with you, Yankees die, long live the Braves

You know, i think we can agree on something, let me ask you a question though, what do you think is wrong with bob wickman?

Edit: obviously something happened that I missed. Anyways I think it resulted from us using him too often.

yeah, been a braves fan for as long as I can remember.

I really think that this might be our year. We've got McCann, Francoeur, Smoltz, Hudson and so many more who are playing well right now. heck, even Chipper's playing well.

I wouldn't count on the Mets winning so quickly. Braves have proven that they can beat them fairly consistently so far this year. Only thing the Braves really need to do is play against every team the way they have against the Mets this year.

im not a mets fan but they do hav consistent hitting and wer the defending East champs. they are a very good team

Actually, that's another reason I think the Braves will win. The Mets won the division title last year for the East. A title that the Braves had since I was 2 years old. I feel this gives them the "X-factor" I guess you could say. They just have a reason to win that the Mets will never have until they've been able to win 10+ division titles in a row and even that may not give them the same drive.

Seconded. And by the way, Tavarez actually did a good job, except for the 3rd inning. Red Sox take 5 of 6, how's that for revenge you last place yankees. Can't wait to see Cashman fired monday, I really hope its not Torre, I actually respect him

Why would they fire anyone? There stradagy has been the same for years, buy players and pay them for what they used to be worth, and its never worked, why would they expect it to now. Before 1999 or so this was not the case, but ever since then pretty much, buy buy and buy and then suck.

Whether that is true or not, when they had lost 7 games straight, the rumor was that Steinbrenner was going to fire someone, and that someone was most likely going to be Torre (thier manager).

I was silenced by Papelbon's blown save tonight. Thats nearly unthinkable. Although I still have every faith that he is an amazing pitcher, something like this happens so rarely to him that i hope his confidence isn't rattled.

Yah!

and the Braves are still ahead of the Mets.

By the way, (and this is aimed at Braves fans only) what's the general opinion of Redman? I've hated what I've seen so far but apparently he pitched well during the Spring.

Well, this thread needs to be revived for this bit of information: Mr. Roger Clemens is now with the godamn yankees. They have pitiful pitching, so they were looking for someone to bolster their rotation, but quite frankly, this sucks ass...

And he has to get old eventually, right? 20 years is a loooong time to be a starting pitcher, roids or no roids.
