what if the game ends before the end of round 5, and the winning player holds the territory bonus?
does that still count?

Wow-looks like more blow outs.

Utah has come back after they did not show up in the first quarter. The medics put some casts on and we added extra padding so that bones could stop crushing us. We should have a great game in the second half.

Sorry, you're reading that wrong...it's not troops gained in a single turn...

It's troops earned by landmass bonuses and owned card bonuses over the duration of the game. In this case, your 4 troops for the Leningrad Army would count toward that, but the region troops aren't factored into the total...sorry if there was confusion on that. I hope it makes sense now.

Utah completely destroyed Texas after dropping in a huge deficit after the first quarter. Good luck to the Utes the rest of the way!

all right three of the quarterfinals are complete (see updated bracket in first post), and we finally got a final score in Ohio State's first round 62-7 win over Texas Tech.

The fourth quarterfinal game has USC and Alabama tied a 28-28 going into the 6th round on the Arctic map. The Trojans won the territory battle to tie it up, but the Tide is sitting on a +6 continent bonus and appears to have the upper hand. Assuming Alabama goes on for the win, the semifinals look like this...

#2 Florida vs. #6 Utah
#9 Boise State vs. #4 Alabama

I'll get those games started Friday or Saturday...hope everyone's having fun with the tourney, especially now that the real bowl games are on TV 24-7. And thanks for playing to those who have recently been eliminated.
