got tonkaed wrote:the problem is at least under your understanding is you are so far free market libertarianism that you will have hard time seeing government interaction in any sphere as a good thing, where there are a variety of areas in which the gov. could be involved in beneficial ways to the economy. Im sure ive said it before, you spend too much time in ideology land.
I see that as a fundamental difference in our opinions towards government, not a failure of my understanding of the way government could be useful to its people. What I see as the political landscape continues to change in this country is a continual inching towards leftist philosophies such as socialism. Once there, we can continue to drift into full blown communism. The fairness doctrine is a good example. That is an attack on Free Speech, perhaps the cornerstone of our freedom in this country. BO is the most liberal political figure that we have. I don't see him being economically sound, or politically stable for America in this, the darkest hour for so many that were not around during the great depression.

So long as folks like you fight to support his ideas, folks like me must fight hard the other way to prevent the worst case scenario, communism. And fight I will...

We are in the predicament that exist today because of 8 years of a conservative republican administration, preceded by 8 years of a conservative democratic administration, preceded by 4 years of a conservative republican administration, and on and on.

time for the liberals to fix it up again.

lol... yeah, the administration before Regan was... who? Carter?

We are in the predicament that we are in because:
* the Fed controls interest rates instead of allowing the markets to determine themselves how much financial institutions can lend
* Government has allowed greater and greater ratios for the amount of cash that banks actually have to have on hand before they can lend
* Liberals, in the interest of making it "possible" for every american to own a home, mandated a federally backed system that made it profitable for banks to take risky mortgages.

I have said it before and I will continue to say it... there is only one political party in this country, they are the republicrats and they like the balance of things. it keeps we the people ever ignorant of the fact of what really goes on in Washington. You are living proof of that.

Yup, all they needed to do was consult with you -- or Ron Paul, your alter ego. You would have put them straight.

I wish I was half as smart as Ron Paul. But I doubt that even he could fix this mess. the best thing that could happen right now would be for a revolution to take place and for us to drag the majority of our politicians into the street and have them drawn and quartered for treason.

Yes, Madam Defarge, of course that would solve the problem.

You are not smart, organized, or strong enough to pull it off. You are all talk and no action.

tell you what... why don't you start a thread in FW if you want to go down this way. I don't think its a good idea to drag this thread down that way. its too big.

In reality, all of what I say here are based on the past performances of democrats and the platforms that they have traditionally run on. Its clear that already, BO's team building is a pretty good indicator that his change platform is turning into bullshit. It was him, in fact, that said something like "You cant say that you are going to bring change to Washington when all you do is shuffle the same old people around..." and sadly, he has shown with his team building efforts that that is exactly what he intents to do. Love him or hate him, you pretty much have to agree that the "change" that he is bringing to Washington sure does seem familiar... and that isn't change at all.

I don't have to agree with that. If you want this thread to remain "big" you need to stop talking about drawing and quartering the president of our country.

So you support a guy that lies to get into office? If he lied about his agenda, how can you think that he has been truthful about his associations with William Aires and the Pastor of his Church, the Dishonorable Reverend Wright? How can you believe that he wasn't born in Kenya, as his own family members have stated?

I am aware of that. I am also aware of the vastly changing political landscape in this country. Also aware of the liklihood that someone is going to take a shot at BO. Vastly aware of the unprecedented power and gall of Fed Chairman Bernanke is exuding over the financial system of this country, aware of all the sighs that say to me that this country is sliding into the toilet, and that the most duped and ignorant masses of america has put into place a man that is qualified only to lie, flip flop and drive this country into the ground.

I think that if you know someone who would or is planning to, you should do something about that instead of boasting that you know something on a lame website. However, I think you are truly all hot air.

How long before we rename this thread "mpjh and BES: Insults Over Politics"?

As soon as it is sufficiently hijacked, but then renaming will not be necessary.

Can you try harder to become even more irrelevant, or maybe it just comes naturally to you? It seems a lack of innate intelligence has left you permanently irrelevant.
