just wondering. how the majority of cc'ers find this great site

none of the above. I saw an old ass Risk board about 2 years ago. I was actually laughing at the old school hair styles and bogus mom (doesnt she look like shes scared of him?) and I got a buddy and read the rules and we played a couple games. I remember thinking it looked pretty sweet, with the cannons and all, when I was a kid. but this board set has the little wooden squares, and a couple of oval pieces for each color. They could reprpesnt 10's or 5's or whatever you wanted them to be I guess. I was hooked, cuz I'm obviosuly a motha fuckin kanye west certified genius with numbers, and I searched online.....played a couple cool yet weak free sites that only let ya play for 24 hours. I maxes every minute out of them. CC had the awesome concept of only letting you play a couple games for free, which totally sucked. Of course you immediately create 4-5 accounts so they know you are addicted then hit you with the premo. Genius respect The Rest is History and now getting a General's Star Dominates my life. I am always playing at least 1 game of some sort [(right now NES baseball Stars is still powered on (so the dang team dont get erasedd)]

Saw the RISK game when I was younger, but didn't get the chance to play until my senior year, got hooked. Then I looked up it up online, a bunch of other sites showed up that you had to pay for, so I went Yahoo! Answers (the place I frequented at the time) and did a little search there and here I am, going on 3 years this May.

I honestly can't remember.

A friend showed me.

My brother-in-law stopped by one night and mentioned it in passing.

I finished university, got a job 400 miles away, and still wanted to play risk with my pals in the city.

simple...did google search for "play risk online." also found strategy game network that way, but this site is better in some areas.

Saw it on gamesites200 a looooooong time ago..

for me I wanted to play risk online.I didn't even expect to find a multiplayer one, but all the better . I was tired of playing lux all the time

Went looking for an online world domination game---this was the first one that came up.

haha well my teacher from college showed it to me one day, i completely ignored him thinking it was just some crappy site, then about a year after my sign up i started to play, lol. now im hooked and know most people on the site... ( well a few anyway )

Oh, and I had bought Hasboro's RISK II for my computer. I think I got it for like $7. Anyway, my friends and I love strategy games. We were playing RISK in the dining room when I said we should play it on the computer so we wouldn't have to pick up all the little pieces. User ephisia laughed at me.... And sent me here.
I wasted $7 that should have gone to my first premo.

I second that emotion.

Long story short: I loved to play Risk with some of my friends, they found CC, introduced me to it, we played a few games together, they quit and I'm still playing lol

lol, I was actually trying to find a link for my disk on the Has Bro game and ended up in a Yahoo chat room and asked.

Go figure.
