F*CK You Packers Fans

Don't get me wrong. I'm not a Vikings fan, nor am I a HUGE Favre fan- but seriously? The guy kicks ass for you guys for 16 years and now you're going to PMS and boo him?
How about you boo the Packers' administration for choosing Rodgers over him when he's clearly still up to par with Rodgers? No, he's not as young, but he's still plenty capable of running an offense. Enough at least where your administration shouldn't have felt the need to REPLACE him after such dedication was shown. Yeah, he's playing for your rival team. He wouldn't have to be if your team hadn't REPLACED HIM.
Am I think only one who thinks all of these Packers fans are being giant, disrespectful assholes over this? Did anyone else see the videos on sportcenter (maybe NFL Today?) before, when the two old people were like "He's a traitor. We put all of our autographed pictures of him away. Yatta yatta." ? What a bunch of pent up assholes. They're all just jealous that they got rid of him and now he's kicking serious ass.

I am in Madison and the butthurt Packers fans are almost as bad as the hippies. Those of us from Chicago have great times making fun of this bipolar attitude, because we really don't like either team.

I'd rather have Rodgers than Favre at this point of their careers, anyways.
Packer fans are mainly annoyed at the fact that Favre tried to hold their team "hostage" while he played his bullshit mind games every offseason. It's not as if Favre was telling the Packers that he was coming back and they decided to go another way. Favre sat with his thumb up his butt for months and month before the organization had enough. The Packers finally did something smart a few years ago telling him to gtfo.
And yes. You are the only one who sides with Favre over this.

I could understand fans being upset by that- but EVERY fan I've heard speak has been yapping about him 'going to the rival team' and being a 'traitor', all idiotic comments. The mind games he played are apt cause to be upset and to get rid of him, though still not really ample cause for the disrespect they are showing him.
I really hope the Vikings destroy the Packers today.
Hopefully they can make it look as easy as the Eagles are

Not only are you the only one, you're also ignorant.
Favre waffled each postseason on whether he was going to play the next year or not. Favre is a Hall-of-Fame QB, and plays at a position that is difficult to replace. So understand that each postseason, Favre essentially held the entire Packers organization hostage with his indecision. Because of the draft. If they have Favre, they draft differently than if they're moving on without him. So the organization finally said "screw this - make up your damn mind already man, so we can do what we as a business need to do!" And Favre somehow thinks that HE got the raw end of the deal there? The Packers did what they had to, it's not their fault that he's still got game, remember, it's not like Green Bay was forcing him to retire.
And about fans - are you even a sports fan? If your favorite player, who played for your team for 16 years, suddenly ended up playing for your most hated rival, and helped make them a title contender, are you telling me you'd be fine with that? If you are, then you're not the type of fan I'd want for my team.

While I agree that the AMOUNT of hate going towards him is a bit overboard, I think calling him a traitor is fitting. Go back and read the comments from Favre basically throwing the entire Green Bay organization (including the fans) under the bus once the team made the decision to move on without him.
Favre was doing everything he could to stick it to the Packers including trying to sign with the Vikings instead of the Jets.

Favre has not stated he got the raw end of any deal, with the exception of the fans being giant assholes to him about it. He left the team, went elsewhere, and dealt with it. He never talked shit, started fights, or initiated anything negative with anyone he played for/with. In fact, he has (and I'm sure will) remain supportive and good friends with a great deal of individuals from Green Bay regardless of how immature they are acting about the entire situation.
It's not Favre's fault he ended up with the Vikings. He needed a team with an offense he knew and could run off the bat- and the Vikings were that team. They had an opening, and it's where he ended up playing. If he was so many peoples favorite player and such a valuable asset they shouldn't have let him go in the first place. They had Rodgers lined up and benched, if they needed someone to fall back on (in the case that Favre actually retired) they could have gone to him at any point. We've seen he's capable of starting and getting right off the bench powerfully, so drafting a QB would not be a huge hole to fix.
I'm a Pats fan, mainly. Do you have any idea how many GREAT players have left the Pats and gone to the Jets or the Fins? Do you not remember Curtis Martin? Yeah, it upset me. That doesn't mean I'm going to boo him and treat him like crap because the team let him go.

The Jets dropped Favre, he didn't choose the Vikings over them. They drafted Sanchez.

Of course they went with the younger guy - Farve is old and past his prime by a long shot. He's rusty, and this new guy, while less experienced, has a nice, long career ahead of him, and giving him experience now will make him 4 times as good of a player as Farve is now.

You missed my point. He was trying to get with the Vikings, SPECIFICALLY THE VIKINGS, the moment the Packers made their decision. He just happened to end up with the Jets because the Vikings said no.

It's an understandable business choice. The issue at hand here is the way the Packers fan are handling it... as if the entire thing was Favre's master plan to be a giant asshole.

Again. There's a difference between "letting someone go and they end up with your rival" and "letting someone go and they end up with your rival and talk shit on your team your organization and your fans". If you think the fans are the whiny bitches in all this, CLEARLY you have no idea what's been going on the past few years.

The Vikings have an offense he knows, has played, and would be more than (as we've seen) capable of operating with little to no practice at all. People were saying that if he played for the Vikings (long before he even mentioned considering them) that he would make a great QB there.

He treated them with reciprocity. They treat him like shit and expect him to tell everyone what great people they are? If your company fired you after 16 years of employment, how happy would you be about it? Would you tell all of your friends what a great employer they were and how they should go take your position so they could be dropped down the line after years upon years of dedication?

Like I said, the guy is ignorant.
Favre was NOT fired or forced out by the Packers - he was forced into making up his damn mind, that's all. And he chose to retire, the Packers moved on, THEN he wanted back in.
And come on, you know that until recently the Pats mostly sucked. So you can't compare Pats players leaving to go play for the Jets or Fins. That would be like me being upset if Barry had gone to Chicago - can you really blame the guy? Yeah, would suck being in the division, but still, the Lions suck. So totally different situation.

The Pats did not suck when Curtis Martin played for them. They weren't the dominating force they are now, but they were damn capable of playing and he contributed to a fantastic run game.
I honestly don't give a damn, I just think Packers fans are being giant assholes.
Pats have a bye, Eagles won, Giants and the Jets lost, all is well.
That being said- GO VIKINGS (and Chargers, since the Colts and Broncos sucked so damn bad today I'm already 2-1 with picks).

I'm not going to huff and puff over it... but it's nice seeing the fans get it shoved in their faces.
It's like watching the Giants or Jets lose. I don't really care if they win, but fucking love when they lose.
