Honestly, go out and play a real guitar.

I don't wanna.

I tried. My fingers are too fat.

So I went with the next best thing

I suck at both. :/

But I can sing decently.

I do play real drums, and I have friends that play real guitar, and we all love the game

don't make the assumption that because we play a game, it means we can't do that real thing

Telling somebody that plays Guitar Hero to play a real guitar is like telling someone that plays Halo to join the marines. It completely misses the point of video games.

I just recently saw a commercial for "DJ Hero" ---with samples of various Rap artists. I kind of laughed at it.

The game had looked really interesting at first, but they regrettably were thinking more about rap/hip hop than techno. This made me sad.

Not really. It is impossible to experience something like Halo in real life, and impractical to emulate other, more realistic video games in real life. However, with some time and commitment, anyone can go play the guitar.

Not at all. Again, I tried guitar; and I failed. I wish it were that easy but it isn't. Some people just CAN'T.

I enjoy occasionally playing Guitar Hero because it allows me to do something that mildly interests me but would require an immense amount of time to become even mildly good at. Plus, for a rhythm game, it requires much less exertion than DDR.

you pay over $50 for a game that all it does is tell you to press a button at this time thats all you are paying 100-150 for a game that tells you to press a button.

I play real guitar a little bit, but I also play guitar hero. mostly guitar hero (I think) is just something fun to do with your friends. it serves a diferent perpose then real guitar, so you shouldn't say that Guitar Hero stinks just because it is diferent then real guitar.
