how will you be spending christmas day?
will it be getting up early to a full english after opening your presents, followed by quaffing a few ales down the local. then back home to where the womenfolk have prepared a delightful meal. then a play with the kids before a wee snooze?
or will you be working in a cold shop that always smells of curry, mumbling obsenities in a foreign language whilst being completely overlooked by all and sundry?

that would be too much food for a Christmas brekkie. 10 1/4 pounders and 20 portions of fries.

I plan to spend Christmas day blaming all of society's woes on the minority group du-jour.

Funny I was going to do that but blame the Christians, corporations and the TV producers for making Christmas an awful holiday.
On reality; my cousins and uncles and grandparents are all coming to my parents house for the Xmas so I'll probably get waken up early (esp. as I won't even be able to get to sleep in my own bed) and then be moody all day as I would have got little sleep and will try to spend the whole day in front of the TV or on my laptop avoiding all the work that needs to be done for dinner. Oh, and I'll get my secret Santa present at around 5 which is going to be a hell of a disappointment as my cousins always buy me the most retarded sh*t. Merry Christmas everyone.

instead of sitting alone on christmas day. couldn't you get a job as a kitchen porter, at least it'll get you out and mixing with people. and in the spirit of christmas, you could do it for free. that way it won't affect your welfare, either.

uck that! I gotta work all day, and it's all the fault of those damned immigrants. I don't understand their culture, and as such, fear it.

I'll have to give it to the English, they do know how to make a great breakfast.....
The shop is shut down, all the honey delivered. The tree is up, Janey did all my Christmas shopping with not nearly as much graft as I thought......
A little too much travel, but It's nice to see the family, and spoil the kids.
Good food, good people, and a nice time had by all.

working is good for the mind, body and soul mate. why on earth you would think it's the fault of immigrants is beyond me. hard graft has always been a strong european ethic. of course, in any culture you're always going to have work shy people that will settle for handouts, but those people are normally a waste of space.
as for deciding to hate those of another culture that you don't understand. well, try living amongst them and listening to them before deciding. you get me?

I'll watch the kids open their presents. Then get a few hours sleep. Wake up and have a German meal of schnitzel and sourcrout. Have family stop over. Snack on meats, cheeses, rye dip and bread and Christmas goodies (cookies/candy) Then head to work at around 9pm.

It's criminal having to work on christmas day.. never done it - never will.
You yanks only get about 2 weeks off a year, never understood that. Don't get me wrong - I'd go crazy if I had months and months off a year, would end up climbing the walls. But christ... going to work on christmas day? The only people who go to work on Christmas day here are people who either have very shitty jobs - like shop-hands, or have very, very important jobs - like surgeons.
I love my work, but f*ck, I aint doing it on Christmas fucking day.
I'm going to be opening my first can of beer about 9am, to wash down the bacon and eggs, and slowly drinking myself into a coma, probably throwing up my christmas dinner on the table, offending my entire family with verbal abuse, maybe punching a random passer-by who wishes me a merry christmas, and fall asleep in a snowwy ditch and dieing of hypothermia.
Just like last christmas.

I suspect I'll spend most of the day in the kitchen as usual at Xmas. Then drink far too much wine with and after dinner, play the new boardgame if there is one, or moan about what crap they show on telly otherwise, while reading one of the new vbooks I got as a present. And possibly trying to get something which to kids got constructed/working/accidentally broken cos its so bloody annoying.

I get 6 weeks of vacation a year (1 every six weeks). And someone has to watch the convicts! We can't all have holidays off.
Although this year I am off Dec. 23 till Christmas day night.
