Is this acceptable? I mean, I am entitled to attck at will, but is it ok ettiquette to attack a player u have a truce with by going through another player? For example I had a truce going while I held Africa and he held middle east and Europe at the time the truce was made. I can see how if I attacked him from Asia, how that interpretation of the action might be debatable. What actually happened was knowing that he was trying to expand into Australia, I took western Australia from a 3rd party, hoping the truced player would attack me for it thus making him the aggressor. I had piled all my guys into australinan claim and once he attacked west Australia, i let it rip, attacking all the through Europe via Australia. He was pissy about it but a) I didn't go thru the borders at the time of the truce. B) he attacked me first. I am ok with how I did it. Question is, what If I used a back door if he didn't attack me first. Is that acceptable?

No rules saying a truce has to be honored. A lot of players are sneaky bastards about em. I and a lot of others prefer that there are no truces and will usually attack and counter truce against those that make em.
But as for breaking truces. You can expect a bad rating and maybe a foe.
As far as etiquette. I suggest truces be honored if at all possible. Unless ya want your word to be shit and be foed a lot.

Looks like no borders were specified so whoever attacked first broke the truce.
I've seen a few cases where a particular border was specified and one player attacked the other via another route, it's generally accepted behaviour.
