UK freezes in South Pole weather

I am meant to be having exams at the moment but they are delayed :-/, my entire university is shut now on monday due to them running out of grit and to top it up I had no power all morning and afternoon. My room is freezing even with the heating now on and back, absolutely ridiculous!!!!!!!!!!

How is everyone else coping?

Looking at 10 degrees below F in Iowa tonight. With 40+ below wind chills. Gonna be a good time.

still, I'm pretty glad I haven't moved to my new room yet. There is little isolation there and one window is broken.

It has warmed up it's only -11C or so. I'm enjoying the mild weather here.

10F about -12C here in Iowa atm. JefJef, Iowa also I see!

Currently 18 degrees F here in Bama. Wind Chill bringing it to 0

When i saw the thread title, I thought you meant the simien mountains lol. I had to put on a jacket in the morning
In Addis, its 25 celcius in the afternoons...

Its -2 in Southampton, UK. School closed all week so have had more time to revise for the exams that might be cancelled.

-12 C right now as i write and announcing -28 C tomorow, poor guys in U.K. you don't want to live in Québec ??

If you were in France you would have said, "none of them can speak French."

It's rare here for anyone to speak French so in Junior high we had a substitute teacher tell us a story. "I moved here from Texas." Our province has tons of people that go back and forth mostly because of Oil. He went on to tell us, "Yeah I would have moved here two years ago but I wanted to learn to speak french first." We laughed. It's funny people here complain about the Quebecous yet the ones that move here are usually pretty good people.

-24 c with the wind today.... now that the sun is setting it will be well lower then that.. prob into the -30s by full night time!!! brrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr

We're having a chinook. It was -26C yesterday morning when I took my daughter to school now it's up to +5C.
