Well, then you don't get to nuke the other players.

there is no point in nuclear spoils. Its the only game option that makes no sense at all.

actually, that is a very uneducated view. There are many boards in which nuclear cards change the very game itself. if used properly, they are not just a weopon, but can be used to find your hidden opponent, or at least narrow down where he might be.

I myself have been taken out by nukes, which certainly changed the game far more than any other cards would have. You arent forced to play them, but personally, youre missing out on some interesting scenarios if you choose not to.

The fact that eddie doesnt like that some people prefer not to get cards notwithstanding, it really can be a fun setting...in the ummm...right setting

It would be better if u could combine the card settings. Esc./ Flat rate with nuclear spoils.
Now that's my idea of fun.
Nuking someone then cleaning the board with a huge turn in.

I really do not see the point of someone playing a nuclear game, if they refuse to grab that fifth card. By not taking that card, a person is blatantly abusing the intent of the game style. I feel this is a clear form of cheating, and low ball playing. There should be penalties for this kind of obvious abuse.

Personally I play a nuclear game with the intention of playing it the way it is designed. By not playing by the way it is set up to be played, it ruins the fun of the game for others, as well as the overall game flow. People who implement these tactics, should be ashamed of themselves.
So far I have been lucky when playing people on this setting, and have not come across this underhanded sleazy style of play. If I do happen across players like the ones mentioned, I will be sure to foe them.
