I'm just really curious as to what everyone on here actually does for a living.

As for me, I'm a freshman in college majoring in physics.

Computer Science student here.

Right now, General Studies. Once I go to the UW, History.

I make Goat Cheese @ $65.70-something a lbs. Of course I make $10 an hour Illinois money.

Site Supervisor for a company that buys and renovates low-income multi-family and/or senior housing.

High school student. I make cash selling my pottery and splitting wood. Hell, that payed for a car and a beastly PC, and there are no taxes!

Maintenance Director for a public school

Senior Chemistry Major going to work on my Master starting in the fall.

I'm a Chemistry/Physics Lab Assistant and Tutor, and I plan to be a Chemistry Grad Assistant in the fall.

I'm a writer/producer for various low-rated car-and-motorcycle-themed shows on third-tier cable channels.

I am a happy and curious man who surpasses everyone else living here at Peoples Heart. I was able to make my own dream catchers by age 5 and by age 8 I was making money around the commune cleaning bong stems. This is where my progressive enlightenment truly took hold when the “elders” chastised me for actually charging for my stem cleaning services. I soon learned that I should work for the common good, not greed and profit.

My stem cleaning enterprise continues to this day despite what the elders had told me and in return for their silence I reduced my fee by 30%. This is where I learned the concept of moral relativity. Working for the greater good and sharing is important but the greater good is better served when one caters to their own wants and desires according to how they feel at the time.

Do you live in a state that has a sales tax? Does it tax pottery and/or wood? If the answers to those two questions are yes, there are taxes. You probably also should be filing an income tax return, but let's worry about sales tax first because that's imposed at a rate of between 4% and 8% of gross.

By day, I do admin/accounting for a building supplies wholesaler. By night, I buy and sell an all-natural, homeopathic product.

Did that too. Got pushed out by some bikers. Upon reflection, it was a good thing.
