Cheating or just cheap?

I'm in a game right now (6507930) which started off with 4 players but is now down to 3. The other two players have made a truce openly in game chat. That's fine of course, but the truce wasn't for x # of turns or until balance was reinstated on the board. The truce was openly and clearly until the 3rd player (me) was eliminated.

Is this cheating? Or is it just cheap tactics and rude? Looking over the rules of CC, I don't see where this is explicitly banned, but it certainly seems to me to violate the spirit of the law if not the letter. Am I overreacting? What do people think? Real cheating, spirit of the law cheating, violation of CC etiquette, or all/none of the above?

2010-02-23 00:57:25 - daniel13: red - truce - no interest in south america - shall we stop border build up?
2010-02-23 03:44:32 - pwblackbelt: ok I just left it as it was
2010-02-23 03:53:23 - daniel13: thats fine i wont build that up and look elsewhere
2010-02-23 03:58:52 - daniel13: red - no border build up on montreal and reyvajik??
2010-02-23 12:38:52 - pwblackbelt: ok but for how many turns
2010-02-24 00:18:54 - daniel13: until green is out?

Thanks.

It's not cheating, just "cheap" or stupid tactics. As long as all diplomacy is in the Game Chat, they can do whatever the Hell they want.

You just gotta give you troops a Hell of a encouraging speech and maybe they'll fight just a bit harder.

Check each players gaming history. Have they played many games together? If they have then probably cheating. Multis tend to pull these type of tactics.

What they did is not (necessarily) cheating. Cheap, stupid, and lame, but not cheating unless you can show that they planned to do that, before the game. If they have done the same thing in previous games, they're cheating.

What he said... and if it played out that way is indeed cheap & lame.

This experience only cost 24 points.
pwblackbelt is Private 1st Class after nearly two thousand games
and daniel13 has a single win in the six complete games
of his short career here.

Not cheating.

Just foe both if you don't want to play with them again.
