Welcome to my first World Cop Format Doubles Tournament:

WCF Doubles I - Feudal War

Congratulations to team "The Dynamic Duo", bfunny27 & DBandit70!



This doubles tournament on Feudal War follows the format used for the Football/Soccer World Cup:

32 Teams will be divided into 8 groups of 4 teams. The 4 teams play each other once (Round Robin Format) and after that will be ranked 1 to 4. The winners and runners-up of each group go on to the next phase.

Knock-Out Phase:

16 Teams will play a standard single elimination bracket until we have the winners of the tournament.

More details about the tournament set-up

Game-Play & Settings: The tournament basically consists of 7 rounds. Each round will look like this:
Amount of Games: Best of 5
Settings: Automatic, Sequential, Flat Rate, Chained, Fog of War, Casual
Map: Feudal War

Ranking (Group Phase): Ranking in the group phase will be decided as follows (after 3 rounds):
First we look at the amount of wins over the other teams. The team with the most rounds won will be ranked first of the group. One round is a one match of best of 5 games.

If teams have the same amount of rounds won, we look at the total amount of games won/lost. The team with the most games won will be the higher ranked team.

If we still have teams with the same amount of rounds and games won, we look at the amount of rounds they played in every game they won to achieve their wins. If necessary we can also look at the amount of rounds they played in the games they lost.

If, after that, we still have the number 1 and 2 teams with equal numbers, they will play an extra round against each other to decide the ranking. This extra round will be best of 3 games.
The teams ranked 1 and 2 will go on to the knock-out phase. The teams ranked 3 and 4 will be out of the tournament at this point.

Seeding (Group Phase): The seeding for the groups will be decided like this:
I will divide the 32 teams into 4 groups according to combined scores. Group 1 will be the 8 teams with the highest combined score; group 2 will be the 8 teams with the next highest combined score, etc.

Then I will run the groups through the list randomizer at random.org and the numbers 1 of each group will end up in group A of the group phase. The numbers 2 of each group will end up in group B, etc.

Seeding for the knock-out phase is predetermined, see bracket.

Signing up

1.- Both players on the team need to be an officer (i.e., have 1600 points minimum at sign up)
2.- Sorry, only premiums because of the amount of games per round
3.- No signing up in advance, first come first go
4.- Teams can sign up in this thread or send me a pm
5.- I will NOT hold a spot if you do not sign up with a partner
6.- You can also sign up as a reserve player or reserve team
7.- I reserve the right to deny any player entry in this tournament

Rules & Notes
[spoiler=rules and additional notes]1.- Once the invites for the games have been sent, you have 48 hours to join your games. If you fail to do so, the game may be registered as a loss for your team. If you need more time to join your games, please send me a pm and I'll see what I can do.

2.- Reserves and replacements are allowed during the group phase (as long as the replacement player is an officer). Once we are in the knock-out phase no reserves or replacement players will be allowed.

3.- Account sitting is allowed, as long as it is done in accordance with the Conquer Club guidelines.

4.- The team that wins the round should post their win in this forum thread.

Additional Notes

1.- I reserve the right to remove a player or a team from my tournament if I have a reason to do so. That reason could be:

- Breaking my tournament rules
- Breaking Conquer Club rules and/or guidelines
- Unsportsmanlike conduct
- Anything that disrupts the flow of my tournament

2.- I promise:

- To run my tournament as honestly and fairly as possible
- To run my tournament in a timely manner
- To keep the participants informed on the progress of my tournament in this thread
