Love this one:

And this sums it all up:

Private corporations at their finest are unnecessarily greedy. Maybe we should try balance to two to limit their bad parts and expose the good parts???rockfist wrote:Government is at its finest a necessary evil.

You guys, you are reading too deep into it. It is quite clear that giant communist wolves prefer the taste of Wall Street to that of sacrificial lambs. If I had to guess, I believe Wallstreet would probably taste very similar to bacon and chicken.Neoteny wrote:Wall Street represents capitalism, so I think that's the image the artist was trying to convey.
They're incredibly bad, even for political cartoons.Titanic wrote:Meh, funny cartoons tbh, well made. Shouldn't take any factual relevance from them though.

The thing is - sometimes big government is needed depending on the circumstances.
Not even in a time of war? I would want the government doing everything it could to protect the citizens.jay_a2j wrote:bradleybadly wrote:Funny thread, Jay

There is NEVER a need for big government.

You are aware that it is the government which provides national defence? If you have a large military budget, you have a large government.jay_a2j wrote:bradleybadly wrote:Not even in a time of war? If the US were being invaded you'd have something there. But wars fought overseas, in other countries does not make it a "national interest". Also, that really would not be "big government" as national defense is a given.
You are aware that government run health care, banks, schools, taxes is BIG government?Titanic wrote: You are aware that it is the government which provides national defence? If you have a large military budget, you have a large government.
Eh? What are you on about.jay_a2j wrote:You are aware that government run health care, banks, schools, taxes is BIG government?Titanic wrote: You are aware that it is the government which provides national defence? If you have a large military budget, you have a large government.

You're the one who said that defence spending doesn't count towards big government.
So defence spending doesn't count towards the size of a government? Thats bull, if you have a large military it means you have a large government. You have the choice of having a small government if you decide to have lower defence spending (like many nations around the world have done). All the parts that make a "large government" are voluntary and can be removed if its decided to.jay_a2j wrote:Titanic wrote:Eh? I said defense spending is a given. You have to have THAT. The other stuff mentioned, not so much.
