Perhaps they have changed drastically since I last listened to them (say 10-ish years ago). Back then they were little more than moronic, nihilistic thugs.

Well I don't listen to their music, but the video actually seemed to support scientific inquiry (other than the line hating on scientists, but that's a different issue imo). The ICP duo are not actually too stupid to find out how magnets work, despite the excessively lame presentation. Sultan of course posts a thread mocking their "lack of intelligence", because he has all the answers.

I personally find it hilarious that last I remember, they'd rap about killing people, and people going to Hell and s*** like that.

Now they've gone all soft and cheesy yet still try to act "hardcore"...

Except that the video doesn't support scientific inquiry, it's basically some lame-ass pimping of their hardcore christian belief. It's basically the old "look at nature, only god could make this" thing poured into an incredibly retarded song.

If I recall, everything ICP does is supposed to be an extreme caricature and not necessarily accurate. Saying that, I'm not sure I can really discern what is supposed to be tongue in cheek and what is not (hopefully more than I'm currently thinking), but I'm pretty sure that I can point out where the bad songwriting is.
