Escalating Eight SSSCE [WINNER: danryan]

This tournament will consist of eight player games on classic gameplay maps. All games will be standard, sequential, sunny, chained, escalating, automatic. Each week, the players will be assigned randomly to a game on that week's map. After the week 4 games are completed, the 16 lowest scoring players will leave the competition. This will be repeated after week 8 and week 12, leaving 8 players in the finals. The finals will be eight weeks long with one new game per week to determine the champion.
Week 1-4: 56 players
Week 5-8: 40 players
Week 9-12: 24 players
Week 13-20: 8 players
Scoring:
3 points for each win
1 point for each elimination you make
1 point for each turn with multiple eliminations (maximum 1 point per turn regardless of how many eliminations are made)
The player with the most points at the end of the tournament will win. Scoring carries through the entire tournament.
Rules:
I reserve the right to deny entrance to anyone removed from a previous tournament of mine. All games will be made private with invitations sent - if the invitation expires you are out of the tournament. In the first round, reserves will be offered a chance to play. After the first round, I will offer the players already eliminated from the tournament a second chance to play. As these games may go on for a bit, this will be for premium members only to not hold up the finals.

General Achievement medal:
The player with the most eliminations through the tournament will be granted a General Achievement medal. If this is the tournament winner, then it will be granted to the person with the second most eliminations.
