Sorry for the rookie question...but is there a place that lists all the different types of games and how to play them??

Thanks I didnt know about all that..but I actually meant the different game boards i guess. Like Oasis has its own way to win and stuff like that- is there anywhere that defines the rules of each game?

The information you are looking for should also mostly be available in the viewing galery (a subforum of Map Foundry), though it is burried in the actual discussion threads, so may be rather difficult to extract.

Another trick is to click *Start a Game* from the left hand Game menu, then *browse maps* and as you click on on each map, you can view the instructions for each in turn. A common mis-understanding is with "Objective" maps - whatever their victory condition, it must be valid at the beginning of your turn, not at the end, ie. you must have held the requirements for a full round

not true...the society of cooks will only teach you certain game types like terminator 6 player escalating sunny games.
