Conquer Club

There are lots of religions who all think they are the one true religion. They also have lots of followers who are willing to die in the name of their religion. The trouble is that so many people who don't care about that sort of stuff get caught up in the fighting. I have a solution.

I would find part of the world that nobody is using, such as Canada, and designate it as the "Fight Zone". You let all the christians who want to die for their religion enter from the south, the muslims from the east, jews from the north, sikhs from the west, and buddists get parachuted in from above as a sort of wildcard. In the middle is a little fort. Whichever religion occupies that fort is deemed to be the one true religion and gets to say so on their headed notepaper or wherever they want. It's ongoing, with weapons restricted to fairly basic guns and grenades.

No bystanders need get hurt.

What do you think? When do I get my Nobel Prize?

Hmmmm. Even with basic guns and grenades it's bound to turn unfair due to smuggling. I'd go with sticks and stones....and maybe swords. There should be more swordfights nowadays.

Well, the one snafu I see in your idea is that with all of the major organized religions dead and gone, we'd be left with a million wacko cults who build compounds, horde wives, and drink kool-aid to catch rides with passing meteorites.

Not all jews, muslims, christians etc would go play. It's only for the ones who want to kill other people for their beliefs. The nice religious people can live happily respecting one another's beliefs.

Sorry I forgot to mention catholics, but ALL religions would be eligible. Tom cruise would be more than welcome.

I quite like the idea with that last qualifier. I agree with Hap it should be hand to hand. If they figure out there's sticks and rocks that could be used as weapons they may use those but no one can tell them that's ok.
