Is it ok to pm another player in a game to tell them that you have proposed a truce in game chat? Nothing else would be said in the pm, it would just be to alert them of the message (want them to see it and respond before the time limit for my go is up. I don't want to break any secret diplomacy rules. Thanks.

EDIT: Or post it on their wall?

Basicly as you proposed it above is NOT okay with the rules. You are not allowed to make any kind of comments about the game outside of the gamechat.
You can post on someone's wall with the comment "read gamechat" , but nothing more. I consider it borderline, but it is allowed and sometimes usuable.
