I am really wanting to enter into the euthanasia field. I would be hoping to seek out a job euthanizing hospital patients, but that currently isn't legal in the U.S.

I am hoping someone here on CC can provide me insight into how to get into perform euthanasia on pets, and hopefully can provide a route that will allow me to move to hospital euthanasia if it is ever legalized.

If it makes any difference, I have a small amount of experience in euthanasia already. Is there a training program anywhere?

Wouldn't a vet be the best place to start? They have to euthanise pets all the time

Is there a way to do it without all the training? It's not hard to euthanize a small animal.

So do you want training or not?

I don't feel like I should need training to euthanize an animal. I don't want be a vet and help animals.

So I'm guessing you're not going to pursue that PHD in political science after all?

I'm looking for a side job here, not a full life long career.

A friend of mine, used to work euthanizing animals. He did a 10-month Veterinary Assistant program at a local college.

Apparently euthanol, in small doses, can be an interesting buzz.

There's lot's of way's to do it. I suggest bricks.

Try the serial killer anonymous website. They probably know a few places

There are a few programs to teach you to be a hunting guide. Would that qualify?

Then you might try apprenticing.. er volunteering at your local animal shelter.
