Wii Gamers

This is a topic hopefully for wii system lovers to discuss anything wii games/system related. Please no Wii Haters, it may not be as visually superb as Ps3 or Xbox360 but some of us enjoy it anyway! :D

I will start the topic off w/ Donkey Kong returns. Has anyone played this? Well worth it if a fan from old days. Very similar to the regular old Donkey Kong ( Not a fan of the drum game.) Same old setup with half a dozen or so levels withen each part of the map. Still has Mine cart levels ( Terrible at those ), and you have the option of using your wii controller w/ nunchuk or using just the main controller held sideways like a oldschool NES controller. 5 out of 5 stars IMHO well worth the $49.99.

I was big into the Wii for a couple years. Super fun system.

It hasn't been turned on since we bought the PS3.

I love the Wii! Have not seen the Donkey Kong but I'll look into it. I do play a lot of the Frisbee golf though, especially when friends are over.

Other than Mario Kart and SSB: Brawl, there is no reason to own a Wii

I generally agree with this statement. However, I got Epic Mickey the other day and it's fun.

after discovering homebrew and usb loader gx I don't play my xbox360 anymore. not having to put the game in the console each time rules. running off an external hard drive rules. the 360 and ps3 just can't compete with that.....

I haven't played game consoles for years. Though I own several, my nephews play them when they're at my house.

If I ever get the urge, I turn on the pc, log into the forum and spend hours staring at your kitten avatar.

In my expert opinion a much more productive satisfying way to pass time.

I only got it for these ones, and Zelda: Twilight Princess (eh for gamecube), the new Zelda whenever that comes out, and the new Super Mario Bros.

Great for parties. Not so much for anything else.*

*except reliving your childhood by downloading Ocarina of Time and Starfox.

That's why you keep your N64. (Except I kept it for other games x3)

I love our Wii, but everyone already knows that I'm a tool. It's great to play with our kids and family.

We play Mario Kart mostly, and use it nonstop for Netflix streaming.

No, I didn't. Who says you have to be a young child to play games like that? ;)
I'm happy I'll hold on to my fun-spirited side for a long time :D

No need for N64 or any other retro console when they've re-released Mario cart,Bond,Mario,DK,etc and what they haven't you can download.

Anyone play the new Cabelas Dangerous Hunts? That's my next purchase I think

I've played the new Pro Evolution for Wii, and god damn those graphics are PS1 quality. But the gameplay itself is so innovative and fun that I genuinely enjoy it enough to buy it (only $20).

I'm guessing that X-Box Kinect has cut into some of the WII innovation. But you still need a WII for two things; Zelda and Mario. I stopped playing Zelda a long time ago. But Mario....I won't name all the good games. But I play Mario baseball or Mario Kart (DS version) with company and it's great. I pretty much never play any of the stuff solo though.
