Master Your Map: Australia [Winner: I_AM_BOGEY]

This tournament is part of the Master Your Map mega tournament. For more details see the main thread.

Can you master Australia? Once mastered, can you defend it from a group of challengers? This tournament will be a 16-player satellite tournament for the Master Your Map mega tournament. The winner of this tournament will be granted an automatic bid into the final Master Your Map: Challenge the Masters tournament with both first and second round byes.

Participants in this tournament will be randomly placed into 4-player groups. The tournament will consist of 5 stages. Stages 1 through 4 will correspond to different settings groups. Each group of players will play 5 games in each stage with the winner of each game receiving a single point. At the end of Stage 4, the points leader in each group will advance to Stage 5. The four players remaining in Stage 5 will then play two games on each settings group to determine the tournament winner.

Stage 3

Reinforce: Image Unlimited
Fog: Image Foggy

Stage 4
Spoils: Image No Spoils
Reinforce: Image Chained
Fog: Image Sunny

The following settings will be consistent throughout all games.

Players: Image Four
Type: Image Standard
Initial: Image Automatic
Order: Image Sequential
Rounds: Image Casual[/spoiler]

  1. Master Rule: The winner of this tournament will select their preferred settings group. This settings group will be used in the Master Your Map: Challenge the Masters tournament whenever they play their map.

[spoiler=Terms and Exceptions]
  • Grouping will be random (random.org). Groups will not change throughout all 5 stages.
  • Games will be played 5 at a time. I will accept freemium players provided they commit to using all 4 slots for this tournament and send me a PM saying such.
  • Players will have 48 hours to join their games (from the time the message was sent). After 48 hours, they will be removed from the tournament. Reserves will be used through Stage 2, but not after it.
  • Ties in Stages 1-4 will be broken by an additional game. Ties in Stage 5 will be broken by an additional set of games.
  • I reserve the right to change any part of this tournament at any time.
