There have been doomsday prophets since the beginning of time who claimed to know the day when the world would end. Nothing new here.
"But of that day and hour no one knows, not even the angels of heaven, nor the Son, but the Father alone." Jesus, as recorded by Matthew in 24:36

The world is scheduled to end once every few years by nut jobs who find the crazies to follow them.
