CMC's Conquer your map: Classic (winner: deantursx)

A few people have said that they would like to play or are playing but don't like the settings very much. At the risk of looking soft, I would like to find out what everyone thinks. Would You rather have specific settings throughout or maybe choose your own settings? What would those settings be if you do want specific settings? Please vote and since I hold the final decision I would also like to see the reasoning behind some of your votes. And that doesn't mean "I just don't like playing foggy". A real reason is something like "adjacent takes too long" or "flat rate gives the first person an advantage".

This tournament is part of my “conquer your map” series. This is a series of double-elimination tournaments, starting with classic and working down the list through every map and finishing with random. When a new map comes out (I will not be including beta), I will be creating a new tourney on it immediately in addition to all other running tourneys. After going through every map, if I’m still going of course (don’t worry, I do see how difficult it will be to actually finish something of this magnitude, but its worth a try), I will host a grand finale tournament with all the winners (seeded by map rank on the map(s) you are representing). I will be hosting between 4 and 8 tourneys at a time, all with 10 days of sign-ups. I don’t expect anyone to join even half although you are welcome. I won’t even be playing all of them myself.

Sign ups will be open for approximately 10 days, which means I will close sign ups on July 30th. Unless I don’t have the minimum 16 players required for a tournament I will begin on this date. If I don’t have enough, I will assume no one wants to play this map anyway and cancel the tournament.
This will be a very simple double elimination tournament. Seeding will be based on score at the time I add you to the list. This means that some players will receive byes through what I am calling the “qualification round”. But don’t worry; you will still get a second chance in the loser’s bracket if you lose in this round.
The map for this particular tournament will be classic
The settings will be the same for all of the tourneys:
1v1
auto
sequential
escalating
unlimited
sunny (except for a couple of maps= treasures of Galapagos, the age of realms maps, the feudal maps, etc)
If there are any questions please ask. All questions that may relate to all the tourneys in general will be added to the list below.
