Just down the road from where I work the National Grid are digging a hole. Today 4 low loaders turned up and parked in the road with 4 sections of a huge tunnelling machine. I work here

I wandered down the road to the site entrance to ask what crane was going to lift this huge bit of kit off the low loaders. We've got a 750 ton crane coming Thursday and we expect to start lifting on Friday.

So I wondered what a 750 ton crane looks like. Couldn't find one. managed to find a 500 ton crane.

Now I wanted to take Friday off work, but all of a sudden, I want to go to work on Friday

The mighty machines are endlessly fascinating, aren't they?

right.. so they need a machine like that to run a few more electrical cables?
Something tells me they're not being entirely honest.

Looks like the National Grid is compensating for something...

I was sure when I saw the title that this topic was gonna be either porn shoot or aliens landed. Oh well, ya can't correctly predict them all.

yeah I thought this was going to be something else too, like maybe an earthquake or something. It would be funny if it was about aliens. "Aliens landed on my street and now they have to bring in a 750 ton crane to stop them from taking over the Earth!"

That's what the crane is for, they're gonna drop stuff on the rioters.

You just need a Krupps Earth Excavator on site to speed up the process.
