General advice re: store and premium perks

Copying this from the General Congrats thread, since it doesn't really belong there.

So I understand there is no purpose to a "conquer credit"

If you go back to the store and click on the Redeem tab, you will see a list of things you can buy with your conquer credits. They basically fall into four categories:
  1. Premium gift certificates for yourself or others.
  2. Premium membership for short-term periods, if you want to try it out without committing to a full subscription
  3. Speed game packs, which will allow you to play speed games without being premium.
  4. Packages of Conquer Stars. These are needed to enter some tournaments, but I actually wouldn't suggest buying any -- you can usually win or find enough stars to enter stuff without needing to buy them. Only if a really good tournament is up and you're just a few stars short of what you need for it, would you ever consider buying them.
armati wrote:Is there any reason a person would be "premium"?
Pardon my ignorance, I just see no advantage.
There must be something Im not seeing.

You have to be premium in order to play more than four games at a time. The vast majority of tournaments and challenges require you to play more than four games at a time, so if you're not premium you'll cut yourself off from 99% of the experience.

Also, premium allows you four other important perks:
  1. It allows you to see the forum without ads.
  2. It allows you to invite people into your games.
  3. it allows you to play polymorphic games
  4. It allows you to play speed games. However, you can also play speed games without being premium, by buying a "Speed Game Pack" as noted above.

armati wrote:Other than the community seems to be its own niche anyway.
Thanks for any explanation.

Yeah, there is quite a bit of bad information floating about in the forums. There are even some people who deliberately give out bad information. Always take anything you hear in the forums with a good-sized grain of salt. After a while you'll figure out who is serious and who is yanking your chain. Or, just go back to basics: read the Rules and the various game help pages like this one: https://www.conquerclub.com/public.php?mode=instructions2

In the advantage of being premium, you should add polymorphic games, they are only accessible to premium players.

Saw Dukasaur here so figured this was the place to post.
(as I dont no how to send a personal message)

Just wanted to tell you about an igcon development.

Contrary to the general consensus that the igcon was too small, over 4000 game manufactures are getting involved, of special interest, on line games.
An ap is being created, it could be a "game changer" for the gaming industry.

Google has gotten involved, among other notables.

My guesstamation igcon was going to be huge may have been underestimating.

Crucial advice lay below.

...I speak here as this holds greatest promise in being absorbed. Attention nor drama is not my desire. I've been a CC member since 2007. By the later half of 2012, myself and 14-18 others were noticing funky dice rolls (only after timidly beginning a dialogue). Back in the day, the others made fervent and authentic requests to prove this. They 'accidentally' succeeded. 1 or more Mods were involved. And guess what, that integral thread was blown into oblivion 3 weeks later.

WHY, you may ponder?

It contained damning information by at least 2 whistle-blowers that DICE algorithms were undeniably fluffed & Roided-up; apparently ongoing since mid-2012. Once that bombshell of a thread was disappeared... the denial factor became embarrassingly self-evident, and the website activity initiated its membership free-fall. Lack of honest disclosure and/or admission w/apology was a poignant indication that overseers in early 2013 did NOT give a DAMN about our concerns, despite the truth being out.

5.5 years later.... still no admission. CC had a brag-worthy 22,500-25,000+ monthly players on the running Leaderboard in 2011/2012. now.... 75% have lost trust, or were so sick of being fucked over by the bullsh*t dice algorithm, that they've simply abandoned CC.

In those past 5.5 years, I log in once every 6-8 months, hoping to grant CC my trust. And the saaammmme exact bullshit dice antics just never quit. This isn't whining, This isn't venting. This is a loyal member stating to the lying, selfish, manipulative coders from 2012, that you f*cked this website & all 25,000+ members who only wanted to enjoy casual, FAIR gameplay.... not 18 vs 3 troops UPSETS. 60 vs 10 troops UPSETS. 240 vs 35 troops UPSETS. and every 8 months I return, desperate to embrace the magnetic nostalgia of thoroughly enjoyable games with old buddies, 2 or 3 or 4 of us, in just a couple games, are... .oh, i think you guessed it??? did you say "...f*cked over again?"" BINGOOOOO!

So, potential 'Premium' Members be warned. because THIS-->
MOD EDIT By TeeGee: Dice are exactly the same for premium/freemium
...is 100% true. The dice remain f*cked, whether you pay or not. Dice aside, the maps are beautiful and so are their loyal creators.

Fixed Dice rolls Were THE PRIME REASON for the membership dive-bomb, not 'family issues' or special events, or competing websites or the 'summer lull' (LMFAO). No, it was b*llshit dice.

Sincerely, with love, and a partially broken heart for CC... your friend in any weather,
Murphalot ;)

And there are no, and have never been secret forums.

Sometimes the stuff that gets said around CC are just weird conspiracy theories.

Not sure where to post this, but I bought credits thinking I could try a 1-month premium, but looks like that's not possible. Can I do something? I think there is a 3 month that didn't cost much more? I can't really do anything with these credits. Thanks

Yes, you can buy a 1-month membership for 600 creds, or a 3-month membership if you have 1200.

All I saw was gift certificates for other people for 600. Maybe I'm missing something

I think it's one of those things where they just made the gift certificate redeemable on yourself instead of adding another button to exchange credits directly. Like the one year.

One of the wonders of Conquer Club.
