One of the people who is commenting/proofreading/etc my latest work said "I didn't know this word, and nor did my husband". The word was "salubrious". How 'bout you?

I have heard of this word, but did not recall its meaning.
I did know the word, but then again, I'm smarter than the average bear. I wouldn't expect a random member of the public to know it.

I had to look up this word:
Litotes is a figure of speech and a form of understatement in which a sentiment is expressed ironically by negating its contrary. For example, saying "It's not the best weather today" during a hurricane would be an example of litotes, implying through ironic understatement that the weather is, in fact, horrible.
This one, too:
Lalochezia is the emotional relief that a person may feel after cursing. Sometimes lalochezia is also used to refer to the use of profanity to provide such relief.

If this thread is supposed to be a litmus test for intelligence, I failed. I even had to look up totes: carry, wield, or convey (something heavy or substantial).
