Is waiting till last secs before starting so that the other doesn't have time to claim a card cheating?

No, because you should be ready for your turn, when it begins (when the other person starts their turn)

It has been discussed many times, and is continually discussed, even at this present time, and some people are opposed, and some people say "Oh well, thats freestyle, if you don't like it, then don't play it."

There is a thread on it somewhere in here, you just gotta do a bit of digging :)

I don't like it and that's why I don't play freestyle.

its an unhonourable tactic, its not the way freestyle is supposed to be played.
but because it is possible people find it a valid tactic.

lol

I thought about it and I don't see any way to monitor it currently. The tactic may be dishonorable, however you can't really police it, therefore it's not cheating.

How can you prove without doubt that player is actually waiting for last few secs before playing? You can't, he might be taken a dump, or busy with another speed game.

So IMHO, it's not cheating, but it is dishonorable. We can't do anything about it. Only Lack's magic fingers will be the able to solve it.

maybe the cheater that does this will miss his next turn if he doesnt play within the last 10 minutes of his turn
