I recently veiwed a game where a 1stclass sargeant, a general and a private were playing. The private won. The sargeant lost 48 points and the general lost 31 points. I was under the impression that the higher ranked player would lose more. Is this not so?

which game was it?
the only possible explanation i can come up with now without visually seeing it:
At the time of winning, the general was lower ranked than the sergeant and the private was at a cook rank or something like that to warrant the high point gains.

Are you sure it weren't the drugs?
Because a) I can't imagine a general losing to a private and b) I have never seen such a massive hickup when it concerned points.

That game finished over a year ago (November 2006)
sjnap wasn't a general then... in fact he had only joined the site a few weeks earlier, so his score would have been much lower, perhaps around 1000, the other player obviously had a higher score
at the time
