Does any1 know about the inner workings of an xbox 360? I have evidence that points towards the possibility that the machine is scratching my CDs...

stop transporting your console with your games inside of it.

I can tell you that I do not move the 360 while its on any more... been there and done that (and thrown away the resulting destroyed CD). My 360 seems to freaking scratch my CDs to hell just by sitting there and running... makes a weird noise too.

Don't move the 360 while it's on.
Don't move it with a game inside, even when it's off.
Don't rub the games with your shirt to clean them, use a cloth or tissue
Don't blow so much on the actual game, more on the disc tray
Get one of those cooling fans (like $20)

well in that case, it's probably because of your previous transporting. also the fact that it's a microsoft pos.

but I suggest you send it in to get fixed before you destroy the rest of your games.

or you can be a real asshole and sell it on ebay and destroy some poor soul's games.

Damnit Bill Gates! I treated it like a baby, and now it sounds like some dying animal.

Wii's probably the way to go these days... what with their Smash Brothers just out and stuff.

yep, though I'd still prefer the PS3 on principle and the fact that it's fully backward compatible without having to have internet connections to get the games.

Though if I had the money, I'd get both.
