Does this option allow others to read the note? Or just you?
As I have noticed that I can see other people's notes like: blackraptor58 [self]: k

Maybe since he wasn't playing, I can see it?

Sounds like a serious bug, "note to self" is supposed to be just that as far as I understand, sort of a 1-person teamchat.

It's only in games that you aren't in that it shows it.

Well if you're going to post it in the forums I am certain it's going to be read by others.

What he posted was someone elses note to self that he saw.

It was only 'k' and seeing as he wasn't playing it doesn't hurt him at all. Excuse me for asking the question.

If you check the note to self box, only you can read it. If you type [self] before a message without checking the box, it looks the exact same as if you had checked the box, but everyone else can see it.

It won't work because the [self] will come after the colon. Anyone who cares will see that you typed it.
