Speed Games for Freebies

I am incredibly new to this so I apologize if this has been brought up before. But, I was shocked that this website, as involved as it is, does not offer speed games to free members when competing sites do. How do I know if I want to pay to be a member for something that I can't even see. Please, please do not insult me or anyone else inquiring about this by saying that I can figure out whether or not I like it by playing the longer games. They are hardly the same. Bummed out about it.

That is one of the main reason people (including myself) buy it I guess... :/

http://www.conquerclub.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=4&t=70419I made that suggestion just for you.

Enjoy.
I don't know if it will get shot down or not. My guess is that it will be, but you never know. I think it's a good idea.

There are several.
Anyway, despite what you say, speed games and regular games are not that dissimilar. The only difference is that it goes a lot faster (though freestyle speed can be pretty intense, with everybody going at once). If you really want a feel for it, go to the "Callouts" tab in "Live Chat" and ask for somebody to set up a "Real Time" game.

Yeah, Landgrab is nice; clickable maps, different types of games but still lacks in a few aspects. I just heard so much about this site and was excited. But definitely really bummed out after seeing how much is required to play just a speed game.

if it were free then people wouldn't pay to play. the 4 game max for freebies would become irrelevant.

don't think of it as a 25$ membership - think of it as 2$ a month.

UnitedGK, please explain. What is required to play a speed game? You mean it takes too long to register just to play a speed game?

Grand Strategy is similar to CC, but you can't play on half of there maps unless you buy premmie. I was playing on there and on here then my favorite map on there became a premium map, so I got pissed off and never went back. Later I bought CC premmie.

no way should speed games be free. That's just bad business. An occasional day of free speed games is a great promotion to get people to buy up, and lack has been known to do that.

yeah i had a go on this landgrab site, in all honesty this wipes the floor with it, browser speed is ten tiems faster, and the genereal aesthetics of CC is miles better, AAfitz was correct, no competitors for CC

If you've already played speed games, then you already know what they're like...right?
On this site, for free, you get:
100+ maps of exceptional quality (this blows all other sites away, in my opinion)
a huge userbase to play against
a tremendous team of players dedicated to teaching the game to new players or old players looking for help
The only things you don't get on this tremendous site are speed games and the ability to play more than four games at a time. That's the hook to get you to buy premium which, at $25 for a full year, is a very good deal.

There’s enough to play for free to me. I mean… regular games aren’t that bad is it? If you get a friend or 2 with the same time zone as you that is willing to play CC for 1-2 hours straight, wouldn’t a free game become a speed game?

Yes they are called RT, or Real Time, it's when someone agrees to take their turns quickly. If you go into the callouts area of Live Chat you can sometimes find people willing to play RT
