The Sun newspaper, love it or hate it?

Well alot of complaint goes into saying the Sun is a dumbed down newspaper, or even worse that it is sexist and racist (i need proof of this 1st) but i admit i am a buyer of The Sun newspaper but then saying that i do buy papers like The times and The guardian, but i think it is quite a good way to get people into politics, especially young adults who may not be very interested in politics, it is good because it shows a mix of sport and showbiz, which would appeal to teenagers and possibly young adults in general, with watered down news of politics which a teen might be tempted to take a look, it is also good for quick viewing, for example if you don't have much time to read or want to find out about politics in a nutshell it could possibly be a good read, which is why people have a problem and that is putting your self in other peoples shoes, not everyone is as smart as people on this forum so they might comprehend the suns' journalism alot more easier to process, so there is a middle ground to the sun and it's style of news.
P.S. if there is any foreign equivalents go ahead and name them.

I used to love my sun newspaper, but lately it was bought out by the cleveland plain dealer and they laid off lots of writers and did not replace those that retired. That being said the quality of the paper has gone down in my opinion simply because there are not enough writers to do the job correctly. For instance there is one sports writer. I still receive the paper for the local news but rarely read it very much anymore.

O I forgot to check that you were in the UK, then in this case I believe mine sun news is different from yours. It is a local paper. So every few cities each get their own sun news once a week which includes local news, sports, events, ads, etc. It used to be it's own newspaper, a small one, but recently it was bought out by a large newspaper. But yea it might be similar to yours.
