I've never watched a rugby game, but I voted for Ireland cause I'm Irish, and Wales because I was there in july '07 and really liked it. My choir took third in the adult chamber division in the International Musical Eisteddfod in Llangollen Cymru.

I climbed to the top of Dinâs Brân to see the ruins of the castle, and I was on TV, but couldn't understand anything that people were saying cause it was in Cymraeg.

I am sorry but all we care about is who is going to win that Eurovision singing contest.

Wales will be strong again and have a good chance.
France are France, its anybodies guess how they will perform.
Sadly, for me anyway, England will fail to perform yet again.
Scotland and Italy will fight it out for the wooden spoon.
Ireland. Its about time they played to their potential.
The winner of the Wales v Ireland game will win the championship.
Final Table- I'm crap at this sort of prediction, so expect it to be the complete opposite.
Ireland
Wales
France
England
Italy
Scotland

After todays pretty dire performance by England again, I fear the worst.
Ireland did the job on France, Wales should do the right thing on Sunday and win.
Next week will be illuminating I think. Todays results were pretty much as I expected.

Scotland looking clueless against Wales today.
Don't think anyone will get wooden spoon; Italy to beat Scotland but Scotland will beat England.

is it just me or is Simon Webster totally shite. way too many mistakes. Wales didn't have to play that well to beat Scotland comfortably.

Webster's problems came from the concussion he received trying to tackle Martyn Williams.
I thought Scotland didn't do too badly considering the team they fielded. Chris Paterson and Max & Thom Evans should have been on from the start, and Nathan Hines & Euan Murray were out due to injury. Also, Wales are the team to beat this year - they're on fantastic form - and Scotland deserve praise for keeping the final score at 13-26. When the game was 5 mins into the second half and we were 6-21 up, I thought it was going to turn into a proper trouncing, but
chwarae teg to the Scots, you fought it back well. Your performance on sunday would have beaten the English team which played so badly against Italy on saturday.
Speaking of which... Mauro Bergamasco at scrum-half?
The best game of the first weekend was definitely Ireland v France. That was edge-of-your-seat stuff all the way, and both teams were well up for playing running rugby. I am pleased to say that I've already got my ticket for Wales v Ireland and it looks like that might be a grand slam (or at least the championship) decider.

when i seen Mauro Bergamasco at scrum-half, i thought "hold on a mintue, he's a flanker(not wanker)". why change, he's one of the best flankers around. about the Ireland v France, when France scored the early try i thought that it would be a ery good game and France would typically play their free flowing rugby that everyone adores. Hats off to the Paddy's though, they played great and was well worthy of the victory.

If Italy had played their second half team in the first half they might have won. The Irish were bloody brilliant(anybody who beats the French are brilliant). Cant wait for the Wales/Ireland game, should be a cracker.

Great game today Ireland kept compusere for the whole match and due to a few english players losing their heads they gave the game to us although they gave us some scare for the last few minutes!!!!!
Ireland has to get the grand slam!!!

another year gone by and Scotland started of with another loss. after the Autumn Test matches I thought Scotland would of been playing more fluent rugby, but the French were too good and 3 Pens from the trusty foot of Paterson was not enough.
no team stood out as favourites last weekend, so we'll see who comes out on top this weekend.
c'mon the Scots.

The Ireland v France game could be tasty, if Ireland improve considerably(and they will). I thought Scotland looked good in places and they could do well against Wales. England should roll over Italy. All in all not a really impressive opening weekend, but I'm sure it will improve. As for the eventual winners....I dont know, could be a tight one.

it has took me a week to get over
Scotland losing to Wales. how did they manage that?
all Blair had to do was kick it out on the full and we would of got a draw at least, but for some unknown reason he kicked it straight down the middle. Wales kept the ball alive and with
Scotland down to 13 men(1 sin binned and 1 sent-off) the inevitable happened. fooking bollocks.
on a brighter note, England looked pretty shit against Italy.

Innit! For a little while there I thought the Italians might actually beat them. How awesome would that have been?
Fair play to Scotland last week, you were definitely the better team for 60 minutes. I don't know why it took us so long to wake up (against both Scotland and England) or why Gatland is so intent on picking Gareth Cooper at 9 when he's so far off his best form and is playing second-fiddle to Ritchie Rees at club level too.
What about Andy Powell though? Busted for drink-driving a golf buggy down the M4!

I don't watch too much rugby, but i was on the edge of my seat fro that game. Though as per we snatched defeat from the jaws of victory.
