Appointment of Hillary Clinton as SOS is a violation of the Constitution; Art.1 Sect. 6http://www.freerepublic.com/focus/f-gop/2141288/postsAnd Obama is a Constitutional lawyer...
I can understand a slip up, but he is supposed to be an expert on this. And they are still pushing her appointment. Is this impeachable?

Why not? Not only did she vote for a pay raise, she got it. That's a clear violation, and several groups are taking out lawsuits to block her appointment.

Trying to remember hearing about this, but I think she is being paid at a lesser grade or something. Really there is much more wrong with her appointment, than this. Like Bill taking millions from her new contacts overseas.

This has happened several times in the past and isn't that much of an issue as a
Saxbe fix will take care of it.

"and no Person holding any Office under the United States, shall be a Member of either House during his Continuance in Office."
That's why Hilary Clinton has to resign as Senator first, before taking the appointment...

That isn't the issue. It is that she voted for a pay raise for the job she is about to get, and you aren't alloud to do that.

Juan, I admit that you bring up an interesting constitutional dilemma, but I just can't see them ruling in favor of Judicial Watch. The language is ambiguous enough to allow for a Saxbe fix. These fixes have constitutional precedent and the most recent one concerning Hillary Clinton's appointment was actually signed off on by President Bush last December.
N.Y. Times article on this matterIt will be interesting to watch the court's ruling on this matter though.

Yeah, I can wait, but I am interested in what is going to happen. At any rate, Obama is having some serious problems...
