Hitler would be tremendous in the early to mid. game but would (on form) push that bit too far and end up all the way back to Berlin with a revolver in his mouth.
Mao would take a huge area by sheer luck and then, through stupidity, manage to keep it without ever taking full advantage.
Stalin would, typically, be clever enough to allow the cook to push like hell, before finally taking full advantage once attentions had been diverted.
Churchill would make an alliance with a far greater power, congratulate himself on it, before realising on round 40 that he was being gradually swamped and forced into making concessions.
Mussolini would be your typical defensive cook. He'd flail around uselessly making irrelevent gains before becoming trapped between two stronger powers. If there was a tree on CC he'd (quite deservedly) hang from it.
So that's WW2 sorted then...
Oh, the yanks!
Roosevelt would be your typical high ranker on CC. An expert at letting others do the hard work before sweeping in with vast numbers of men to claim the credit off of poor Churchill!

Hahahahaha Excelent, but you forgot Emperor Hirohito. Sensa Hirohito would be the one everyone gets pissed with. He would attack all on all sides especially the larger force who hasn't even attacked him. Then with game chat full with typing to him about how stupid he was to attack he would be backed down to a final territory. BUt he would not go down without a fight, no, he would suicide and prevent others from winning as much as he could. He's definitely going on the foe list

Nothing to add here. Just had to quote the post, so that it didn't get drowned out by your humongous sig.

completely disagree... i play team games because the lame attempts at diplomacy on this site are generally transparent and unimaginative... plus, if kissinger were on the site, he'd be bombarded to neutral 1's and be out of the game by round 2 or 3...-0

Napolean and Hitler would both suck. Mainly because Napolean wouldn't ever do anything as long as people didn't know how tall he was, cause that is the only reason he invaded Europe. And hitler, He would just break bonuses and not keep a strong homeland.
I think that Fidel Castro would be good cause he would know when to wait and just stay under the radar untill the moment is right.

I was wondering about WWI.
Douglas Haig would expend 21 armies taking a single then congratulate himself on a job well done.
Bismark would be going round all the players doing deals and making alliances.
Ludendorff would try to take Asia as a bonus, do quiet well, then hole up in Scandanavia. Later in the game he would pally up to Hitler as his power grew but in the end would not amount to much.

The worst fog player? Bush jnr. He'd convince everyone that smallest player was in fact a huge threat, organise an attack, then get stuck in a meaningless attritional battle whilst the others got bigger. Then he'd deadbeat and claim he would've won but he went on holiday so missed his goes. Everyone else in the game would give him one star ratings and foe him. Then he'd start a thread in flamewars attacking everyone else in the game for not being ballsy enough. Then we'd discover he had multis in the same game and STILL lost, and he'd be banned.
Grrr, I'm angry just thinking about playing him, loser.

Great idea for a thread...
But I really think the answer is dependent on game type...
The WWII names represent ESCALATING...
WWI is akin to NO CARDS...
Hey... I know what I'm talking about here... I've actually played some no card games...
YES REALLY, I'M SERIOUS... I'VE PLAYED 29 NO CARDS GAMES...
uh huh.. YES...
that's OVER 2 DOZEN games!!! And THIRTEEN victories (45%) for +137 points...
SO SEE... I KNOW WHAT I'M TALKING ABOUT!
Below is a screen shot from the MOST EXCITING No Cards game I have ever played... just look at that action...

Actually this game went really well for me... see, I'm the green one, putting out lots of steam and in the lead... It did take a terribly long time to get to the finish line, but you are looking at one of 13 No Cards victories for me...
I am quite proud of that one actually, i mean... just LOOK at that competition...
I steam rolled them..
