Laziness or Efficiency???

Existential question for all of you... is it laziness or efficiency???
I would like everyone to post there 2 cents here... something about yourself that you would consider being efficient or lazy or maybe both...
I'll start with mine!
Ever since I grew up, I was wondering why I had to put round numbers while reheating something in the microwave. Like 1:30 or 2:30... I figured I would save some time by doing 1:11 or 2:22 since my fingers didn't have to move and I would only have to repeat the number that was already under my finger...
I call it EFFICIENT. You???
Do you have anything interesting to share?

Can be unrelated to microwaves

on most microwaves you can do 90 seconds rather than 1 minute 30.

my microwave has three buttons, 10 minutes, 1 minute and 10 seconds, so I don't have this issue. My microwave before that was probably the first ever built, and just had a dial and a giant button. Turn the dial, smack the button, presto.

Laziness is using your brain to reduce how much you have to use your muscles.
So is efficiency.
Same thing, although lazy people get a bad rep sometimes...
Oh, and I do the microwave thing too. 33 seconds, 99 seconds, etc.

I like to cook my food for 3:72. I think that's just more creative than lazy or efficient...

I think Laziness should be considered when efficiency could be applied, but that somewhere along the way, it just didn't get there...
You know... like the government!

I loved this, I'm always getting complimented at work on my efficiency as I always look for the easiest way to do thing - meanwhile I know it's because I'm just lazy.
I can't think of anything off hand around the home but when I think of something I'll post it up. Hope everyone else does the same - could get some really good ideas in increase "efficiency".

I can write a paper, chat with friends, watch TV, play Wii/Gamecube/N64, do homework, play CC, open the fridge & microwave, and make ramen/popcorn/Pop-Tarts/Kool-Aid/Country Time Lemonade without getting out of my chair. I could even go to the bathroom if I wanted. Metaphorically, of course.
I am the supreme master of laziness.

I think I would agree on calling your chair a "good buy"

to increase your so called "efficiency..."
p.s. did you also "roll" to the store to buy it?

My chair doesn't roll... truly lazy people don't need a chair like that. Besides, it takes less energy to get up and walk then it does to push yourself in a chair with your legs.

I've heard that laziness is the mother of invention.

I guess, but not all the time...
I guess, maybe the intelligent lazy... those that aren't really lazy, but know that if they put some time in making or inventing something, then they will benefit in the end...

Laziness isn't using your brain to reduce how much you have to use your muscles, it's your instinct singling out all the things you don't want to do, then not doing those things. Maybe even some things that you
do want to do. Like eating. or showering. or going to the bathroom. €ver been too lazy to go to the bathroom? It doesn't end well, one way or another...

No, laziness is avoiding work, whether it's brain work or muscle work.

Ha! My microwave has a "quick cook button." Just press and hold and the timer goes up in intervals of 30 seconds. Then release your finger an it starts automatically.
I would never buy a microwave without it!
But I'm a hard working man.
