d_cay - very cheap tactics

normally i keep the b.s. within the game, but i just played a game with d_cay on the usa map. a game that coulda been taken out on round 8, it lasted to round 12. normally, i don't give a crap, but this guy had an extreme advantage. i even conceded to him in game chat. i've played in enough games to know it was just a matter of time. instead of attacking me, he stocks up his armies and attacks the neutrals.
this guy has also played in enough games to know that the game was over. his excuse was that he had seen come backs before in our situation but i beg to differ. why people have a need to rub in a win, i will never know. all i wanted to do was finish the game and start a new one. it was rt, but he was the slowest rt player i ever played with too
anyway, just wanted to warn people about his cheap tactics play that had nothing to do with wining a game, but rubbing in the win....i dunno if it's just me, but i despise those people. they are a short step above people who cheat and use dupes
that's my bitching for today.... watch out for that guy d_cay. he's pretty high rank and unbelievably has a good rating....

calkid: you are a cheap player
D_cay: im giving you the ranking you diserve, a good one
D_cay: its still a game you know
calkid: game coula been over 6 rounds earlier. instead, you didn't want to attack me but the neutrals. i had no chance in winning this game. why i said gg right from the start....whatever. i'm not a sore loser. i just hate cheap tactics and disrespecting the game
calkid: and the players in it.....i'm outta here....
calkid: you're on ignore
D_cay: i know man srry bout thatD_cay: but i just want to be sure to win and it could have gone the other way, i have seen it happen
calkid wrote:...his cheap tactics play that had nothing to do with wining a game, but rubbing in the win....i dunno if it's just me, but i despise those people.
This Game only about 30 mins. long, ending in Round 12. So it's not like he dragged it out to the extreme forcing you to deadbeat to end it or was verbally abusive, like a few players around here have done.
D_cay had first turn, but in Round 3
calkid had a bigger bonus by +2 and Round 6 the tide turns
+7 to
+3...
but did he really have the numbers to
ROLL over you? To really be cheap or rub it in he could have said,
"I gotta go, see ya later" and made you wait. You may be disappointed (and pissed off) by his gameplay, but I don't see the "very cheap tactics" as labelled by the subject line.
I've had a few games slip away with terrible dice and I could do nothing about it
as my numbers advantage disappeared while losing to single defenders.

Yep, making sure of the win should be included as one of CC's bannable offences. Up there with behaving an anarchic fashion, exhibiting prejudice of any kind (I've been making fun of hermaphrodites today or 'intersex people of equal worth' as I suspect I should call them) and the truly awful 'making threads about mods'. That's a corker.
Very well done though on bringing this
retrobate to the CC World's attention. You can rest easy in your bed knowing that
d_cay won't be ruining further lives with his pedantic actions.
*edit* just noticed that
d_cay is dutch. Well that explains the pedantic behavior.
Made fun of hermaphrodites....check!
Made fun of Pc language....check!
Made fun of the dutch...check!
Good days work for me.

I genuinely don't understand why this thread is allowed to stay open. It is in every sense a flame thread. It's inconsistent at best to allow this bearing in mind the "new direction of cc"
Tell me, Woodruff, why should this thread be allowed to remain open?

It's hardly a flame, but may get locked anyways with you taking it off topic.
TRY SOME IMODIUM

Mmmmm, the imodium was good. What else do you have to offer?
Very cheap tactics are bad. These may or may not have been cheap tactics, having looked at the game I'm inclined to think not. Unfortunately there is no place for negative threads such as this to go. They certainly don't belong in GD. It is a clear flame and thus breaks site rules.

Where is our locksmith??
lock 'er down!
But seriously...I don't see how d-cay did anything wrong. you are coming across as a sore loser. I mean I have been in games 10 times worst than this and it would end with the guy saying f u when I complained. This dude actually apologized. There must be something else going on...

Flame? Nah... more like an opinion about a game
and an unwarranted cautionary tale.

I don't care whether it's allowed to stay open or not, since that is completely irrelevant to the statement I was responding to.
You stated "Move to FW please mods" (this has nothing to do with locking it). Thus my response that your desperation is palpable. Which it is.

I'd rather have it moved than lock it or have it in GD. If you want to remove negativity from the site, don't put it in GD. Locking is a last resort and also negative. So....

General Discussion: Talk about all things related to Conquer Club
This thread falls under that description, so why move it?
This OP is a sore loser who blew off a bit of steam about the victor's gameplay. It isn't a flame and just in case you aren't up on current events or maybe you missed this? Flame Wars was put out of it's misery last month and is no longer with us.

Yes, we are liberal on course language, but this does not mean cyber-bullying is acceptable anywhere. You will be removed from the community for cyber-bullying.
Flaming will get your post edited/deleted and will get you a warning from a mod. Cyber-bullying will be removed, and an admin will probably come down on you like a ton of bricks.
İt also falls under this description of course. Move it out of GD somewhere İ don't have to see this despicable flame.

Sorry X... by that definition I don't see your flame in the original post.
Tough break dude, try that tired old argument in a different thread
because it just doesn't apply here.

Did you read the title? Do you think it "insults, belittles, bullys, name-calls, or otherwise attacks another user"?
Coz if someone said İ was using cheap tactics in GD İ'd be pissed off.

ovo and woodruff use very cheap tactics.
Is that insulting to you? I think yes. Does it belong in GD? No. Why do you consider this point of view to be desperate or ignorant?
You 2 want to clean up CC, yet you're happy to have this in GD?
Should I start a thread entitled "ovo and woodruff use very cheap tactics when posting"? Because I'm sorely tempted...

Who said I was happy to have it in GD? Please don't put words into my mouth. By the same token, to call it a flame is...well...pushing the limits of the definition of what a flame is so far that it would seem they would burst.
