Unfairness

i played 2 1v1 games on classic. The other person started with south america both times fair... I think not.

1v1s are rarely fair. Did you manage to go first in either of these games?

Some maps are better for 1vs1 than others---It usually depends on territory count, set starting places (like Feudal Wars, etc), and of course luck. I know the Strategy Guide people are including in some of their Guides what maps are good for 1vs1, which maps tend to be more unbalanced or erratic. So hopefully we'll see those in the future! Until then, try checking out the Strategy Forum.
